Saw it yesterday, its a damn good movie. Everyone must see it for sure. The football scenes were done really well and were actually pretty realistic.

Who sings the song towards the end of the movie when they are entering astrodome? I know but I can think of it

It was alot better than I thought it was. The camera style is the same as it was in 21 grams and traffic. Makes it that much better

I liked it better when it was called Remember the Titans.

It's "New Noise" by Refused.

I liked it better when it was called Remember the Titans.

I liked it better when people knew they were 2 separate, but TRUE stories. Remember the Titans took place in the 1960's (hence the reason a team with blacks and whites was controversial?) in...I don't even remember what state, I believe it was Virginia maybe? Friday Night Lights took place in western Texas in 1988. Stop being a fuckstain.

****SPOILER****

P.S.....the team from Remember the Titans won the state championship. Permian did not.

I still think Any Given Sunday is the best football movie out.

I don't give a shit. Its still the same formulaic 'inspirational' sports story. Dedicated coach who yearns for a 'perfect' team while he starts to place the importance of the game over his family and there are inner-team struggles but eventually they all unite together for victory...except in this one, they lose.

And yes, I know they are two seperate stories, but I'm tired of Hollywood pumping formulaic movies, regardless of truth or not.

If you're sick of "formulaic" movies then don't go see the ones you believe are "formulaic". I, as a football player myself, want to see every movie there is that deals with football as there is always something you can pick out of it to help you learn something. Sure they're all "formulaic"...shit, why the hell would you go and watch a movie about a losing team? Where the fuck is the fun in that?

Uhhhh.....don't they lose in the end?

Anyway, the Replacements is easily the best football movie ever.

Am I kidding? Perhaps....but I did enjoy that movie greatly.

Any Given Sunday - awesome.

Friday Night Lights - pretty good. Could have been a lot better if certain storylines had been further developed. It lost focus at the end. Props for Refused though.

Replacements - HORRIBLE.

Watched this for at least the fifth time last night, and I loved it just as much as the first time I saw it. There's just something magical about the idea of West Texas high school football.

I found this movie incredibly meh.
They didn't make me really care about any of the characters so I didn't care if they won or lost.

Billy Bobs halftime speech was great, especially with Explosions playing

Yeah, the score from Explosions is amazing.

I like when Tim McGraw is duct taping his sons hands to the football.
