the grudge looks really cool yet the PG-13 rating is a kick in the pants, no stupid stereotypical horror film nudity followed by brutal slashing

the grudge will be the next Ring. It should be a pretty big hit.

SAW looks amazing too. I'm pretty pumped for that. The doll/creature thing he uses to communicate is so creepy.

Yeah, too bad that hasn't been a horror staple since the 80s.

Blame Kevin Williamson.

The Japanese version of The Grudge...Ju-on....scared the shit out of me and had me messed up for a week. I highly doubt the Grudge will be the same way. Matter of fact I think it will suck ass but I will still see it nonetheless

Saw is good. People in the cinema were crying. The twist at the end is sweet too, pointless violence for the most of it, but still overall worth watching.

Saw looks NOTHING like TCM. I'm so psyched for this movie its insane. The preview had me and my fellow movie god friend frothing at the mouth. We go to movies all the time and the last few have been mediocre so we're looking forward to it. But The Grudge looks sweet too.

and CJ, to answer your question, the film was actually shown at an independant festival almost a year and a half ago, its an old film, they just couldnt find a distributator in the US for a long time.

The reviews so far for The Grudge are not good so far. And check out the entire review of SAW by Peter Travers below...he basically put no effort into it.

"It's gross as hell. A doctor (Cary Elwes) and a hothead (Leigh Whannell) are chained up in a basement, and only a saw can get them out. Director James Wan hits the grisly button without shame."
- Peter Travers

I watched the trailer for WHITE NOISE. Creeped me out. Especially the "Get out of my house" part...

We are having all new windows put in our house so all the blinds and curtains are gone and this trailer creeped me out. I had to put some sheets over my windows cause I kept thinking of it....

SAW was very good except that acting at the end it made the whole theatre just bust out laugh because how horrible it was ... I really wanted to see that reverse bear trap go off ... one thing I didn't get was how did that guy get that girl in the room if he was in the hospital getting examined by the docter

I love Danny Glover. His demise was depressing.

Total honesty, predicted the end from the start. Just popped into my head out of no where.

In my opinion, the only flaws I saw were the minor plot holes and the bad acting. The cinematography was dark, disturbing and beautiful all at the same time, very reminiscent of Seven. And yes, I do think there was some definite influence from Seven in there, but I highly doubt they were trying to recreate Seven, a movie starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman and probably had a much higher budget than $1,000,000. Nothing quite extraordinary to write home about, but it was worth the $7.50 for the ending alone.

Here are my complaints....spoilers...spoilers.. .

----

----

01. - Cary Elwes in the last fifteen or so minutes just went way over the top with his performance. He basicallywent completely insane and over the top. People in the audience were laughing at this guy because he seriously was so overdramatic. Prior to that, he did fine, even with some of the dialogue being as hokey as it was at times.

02. - Some of the MTV spinning camera stuff was annoying and way to flashy. Should have been less flashy, more subtle at spots....Seriously, at the scene where the chick has the bear trap type thing on her head, it spun around her for about 12 seconds for no reason.

And how can you even guess this ending. I dont get it. Its like the most impossible ending to imagine because there is nothing leading up to it and no hints whatsoever. I can only see it because for a lot of it, I thought there had to be two "killers" acting as one "jigsaw killer".

Just finished watching the movie and until the end I was loosing hope in the movie and was wondering why people were praising it. The ending completely makes the movie.

I will agree that the doctor's acting at the end was horrible and just freakin' weird...

I wouldn't really consider this movie a horror movie as much as a thriller.

I liked it..

The movie was good, but Danny Glover was amazing. His over-acting was incredible. I seriously laughed out loud at some parts, esp. when he ran around talking to himself and screaming things like "I'm Gonna Kill You, You Sick Asshole!" just think about it....Danny Glover....his over-acting....Predator 2......Incredible.

I just downloaded it, and oh my God. It's so twisted and violent, but it just hooks you and makes you go deeper into it. To be fair, it is an unoriginal idea, but the makers have made it seem so new.

And yeah, the ending was amazing too. You just don't see it come from anywhere! See this film!

I loved this movie and maybe I'm dense but what were the plot holes? I was too into the movie to notice any specific ones. I had a feeling there were a few but I can't place them.

Also, right when they said the guy was Zippo or whatever his name is, I was like 'nuh uh, this guy's too dense. And also, why would he be going all over the country, I think he's part of the game too."

And when the tape said the guy in the middle was dead and had shot himself, I didn't figure it was the guy, but it did make me go "why would they do that, none of the other previous suicidal scenario things included already dead people," so that sort of made me suspicious of it from the start.

ALSO, isn't Cary Elwes Westley in the Princess Bride? And Robin Hood in Robin Hood, Men in Tights? Yea, his acting was a little poor in the movie which slightly dissapointed me.

But to be fair, all the scenarios were unique in their own way. Why did he decide this time to include 2 people? Just Jigsaw's sick twisted mind coming up with new ideas

To be honest, the ending got me concerned that there would be a sequel, which would ruin this movie. But then he got locked in there, so I was like "Phew!"

Considering that the body is lying in a pool with blood around him and a gun in one hand, with no way for the other 2 to reach him without sawing their own limbs off, I'd say no. It would be one of the least things on my mind when they can see the camera

Also what happens when the timer runs out on the site?
