As we know, Motion City Soundtrack (http://www.motioncitysoundtrack.com) is locked up in the studio with producer Mark Hoppus recording the follow up to I Am The Movie. Since they're so busy they've asked me to help them find an opener for their just announced college show in Edinboro, PA on November 21st at The Hangout. The rules and guidelines for entering this contest can be found in the replies.

Get the Separation Scene!
They are a rising band from Erie PA, and they draw a good amount of kids to their shows.
They have some shady recordings www.purevolume.com/theseparationscene
I guess you can get an idea from those mp3s.
They have an awesome stage presence and they put on a really good live show.

I hope that whatever band gets it isn't super well known like some of those mentioned. Being in a band trying to come up myself -- along with being in a band that entered this, although I'm not going to shill us here or anywhere else that isn't appropriate -- I can see the huge oppertunity in this. To see it go to a band that has had its shot at oppertunity already would be a shame.

But best of luck to everyone. I'll be going to this show no matter what.

haha! I was thinking the same thing. Sorry, if its you, but the lead singer definitely needs some sort of singing lessons. Keep practicing, you have potential.

the lyrics could use some work, they sound waaay too forced.

"im asking for answers, what does this all mean?"
"to tell the truth, is all i wanted from yooooooooooou, just tell the truuuuuth"

I'm sorry dude but that just made me laugh. A good remedy for this is to not write songs about girls/breakups/tears.

s'all good, just a demo track.

Not all our songs are about girls/breakups. the first one (I'm Sorry) is about the betrayal of a friend.

Some people think that as their favorite song of ours. Its not for everyone. Thanks for the feedback though.
