Just curious, does anyone listen to sunny day real estate even though they're long gone? If you like post-hardcore, you'd like them.

yea, one of the bands who helped begin emo, Diary is a great album from 1994 on sub-pop records. circles is a great song

Blah blah blah, ignoring the dumb bullshit already posted, I'll just say that they were alright, but so many other bands that did that sound did it better. Mineral, The Promise Ring, American Football, Penfold, etc.

You missed the point. SDRE gets too much praise while bands that were better get less.
Add Braid to that list too.
