Because I have nothing better to do and no better forum to express my opinions in, I'm now going to rant about american pop cultures glorying in sexual tension. Pushing Daisies brought this about, its handled well but its still really annoying, and they took it to the absolute extreme. Reaper, Futurama and too many fucking movies to count all include this. The reason they do it is to induce conflict into what are otherwise relatively perfect relationships, and only prevented from being this due to this. If they don't do this, its boring. Because hollywood has less understanding of relationships than even I fucking do, which is ridiculous. No relationship is interesting unless its fucked up. Love is fucked up - its whole goal seems to be to defy people's notion of perfection. You have your idea of perfection, well ok, so does your unknowable subconscious. And guess which one is more important?
