Taking Back Sunday is one of my favorite bands but I almost refuse to see them live, I understand that they are constantly on tour but I really wish he could perform live just as well as he does on the album, but I fear that is just wishful thinking.

blah blah blah, everyone knows adam doesn't have the best voice and by comparison to many he probably doesn't even have what would be considered by most as a good voice...we know this, it's not like he sounds that fucking wonderful on cd either, but i always thought that was the point. he's not this phenom singer who we should all bow down to as a vocal god (though there would be nothing wrong with that), rather he is just a person just like any one of us out there spilling his guts for the whole world to hear, no matter how he sounds. i always found that to be part of the appeal of taking back sunday and "punk" or "emo" in general. with its simple song structures, straightforward lyrics and instrumentation and vocals that almost anyone half-competent in such an art could recreate, it's the regular person's music: something we can all relate to in more ways than one.

i agree with ^. adam sounds like he does on the cds, which in my opinion is good, not that he has a "good" voice or a typical singing voice, but we've all know that since tell all your friends...its unique and i like these songs.

alot of singers sing off key, I can deal with it as long as its within reason, whenever I've seen TBS live, which has been twice, its been within reason and they've had a lot of energy and played a good set...acoustically however it just doesn't work, I guess.

adam may not be the greatest singer in the world but when me and my friends met him at warped tour he was very down to earth. when most singers get up to tbs's popularity they let the fame get to their head.. but tbs doesnt do that

What a sad state the music scene is in today, where people are actually saying being off-key and sounding like shit is the point...wow.
