Um we have really good food. Hit up some Mexican Restaurants. If you've never had real green chile I suggest you hit that up. It's delicious.

I've dated both guys way older (7 years+) and also guys a bit younger but wouldn't write off guys a lot younger if we clicked and it made sense. I've gotten to the point where I don't think age should matter as long as a) they're legal, of course, lol b) there's a connection- mentally & physically and c) we're looking for generally the same thing, whether it be a relationship or just a fling
I think a lot of it depends on what you're trying to get out of life. I've never been the type to daydream about a big fancy wedding and having 2 kids running around in a white picket fence yard. I just want to be happy and content and self-sufficient, if I end up meeting someone I want to "settle down" with, that's cool but it's not my goal. Older guys seem more in a hurry to find the perfect wife, from what I've noticed, but then again, everyone is different.

From what I have read, 40 seems to be the age that a woman becomes a cougar officially, if she meets the other requirements, of course.
I would say that training just requires making sure you work at being attractive/sexy, stay unburdened by baggage/drama (both personal and financial), and aren't looking for someone to take care of you. Cougars are women that can afford to take care of themselves and live independently without relying on anyone, therefore making themselves available to have flings/fall in love with whomever they choose, regardless of age or financial status.
I don't know if this is officially still considered a "cougar" but I believe a person can maintain most of these characteristics even after falling in love and getting married. So Jon, you needn't worry about Chelsea ;)

i think this is very true. i don't see what the big deal is if the people are on the same page with what they want and have common interests and look cute together, who cares?
Apparently everyone doesn't have as open of a mind as I do though, as I was having a conversation with one of my good friends the other day and happened to mention to her "why don't you and Justin hook up? i thought you were into him." She went off on how she could never NEVER date him because he's 24 and she's 31 and even though she and him completely clicked (she was talking about how great he was for days after meeting him, plus, they look better together than her and her soon-to-be exboyfriend) she would never "lower herself" to that because she'd "never be that desperate". Um, what?? I don't get that, but apparently some people are judgmental/closed-minded and can't accept that you shouldn't judge based solely on someone's age. This same girl would have no problem dating someone 10 years older than her, just as a point of interest.

it's never been on my list of things to do. but it's a good option if I never get married. although I've always liked older guys, but I'm sure once I'm older and they're older, they'll be less appealing. I can already think of one younger guy I'd totally do.

Actually, even though he started with a preposition, the phrase "without your police avatar" is essential to the main understanding of the sentence. So many people would say to leave it out, being that it is a relatively short sentence.

Ah, but "You cannot correct people's grammar anymore" is the main clause and would make sense without the subordinate clause that is "without your police avatar", thus meaning that "without your police avatar" additional information which, whilst being useful in grasping the full meaning of the sentence, is non-essential.

In 1900 you would be correct. However, today short sentences started with prepositions allow the comma to be optional.

Well, for those who are ignorant, yes.
lolz, no. For those who wish to practice good writing. Flow > grammatical value. People have found that staying strict with grammatical rules often causes writing to sound rigid and stiff. That's why it gradually became acceptable to start sentences with conjunctions and commit various other grammatical "violations."
You'll probably learn this in your first freshman college writing class.
By the way, a dash would have been more appropriate after your "ignorant."

Back up your statement please. I would like some proof as to when someone would ever put a comma with only two adjectives. If you feel so strongly, I'm sure you or Dave could provide some solid proof.
Here's my defense: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/commas.htm
Use a comma to separate coordinate adjectives. You could think of this as "That tall, distinguished, good looking fellow" rule (as opposed to "the little old lady"). If you can put an and or a but between the adjectives, a comma will probably belong there. For instance, you could say, "He is a tall and distinguished fellow" or "I live in a very old and run-down house." So you would write, "He is a tall, distinguished man" and "I live in a very old, run-down house." But you would probably not say, "She is a little and old lady," or "I live in a little and purple house," so commas would not appear between little and old or between little and purple.

when? pretty much always. it's common sense. that's how it's done. you wouldn't if it were an adjective like "really" or something that shows quantity, like if you were to say "really stupid" or even "fucking stupid". but normally you put a comma between two adjectives. example: Sarah Palin and the OP of the "I'm an idiot" thread are both ridiculous, stupid twats. it just doesn't work to say ridiculous stupid without a comma.

there's a difference, but I don't really care if you use incorrect grammar. if you want to ignorantly think you're right because "Dave is the same as a little old lady", that's just fine with me.
Sorry, you're both wrong. They both need commas.
Proof. (http://englishplus.com/grammar/00000072.htm)
As for Dave saying a colon would be more appropriate than a dash: No. Not even close. Colons are used in very long sentences most commonly, often replacing conjunctions (although not always). I'm not going to explain the entire rules here. Dashes are used when a change of tone is noticeable. I'll let you search the internets yourself (if you so desire) to see that I am right and you wrong.
[Take colon and exchange it for semi-colon in that description! Oops!] You could maybe use a colon, but a dash would still be most appropriate.
