Help out "roadie/merch man/best friend" of Every Time I Die, Jeff Stranahan, who is in the intense care unit. The doctors don't know what's wrong with him and he has no health insurance. Their Buffalo, NY show will now donate 100% profits to help him out, including a number of raffle prizes given out. Also, there is a paypal account here (http://www.tour-city.com/). Read below for the official announcement.
Getting sick on tour is just an accepted occurance when you travel as much as ETID, but never before has it taken such a turn for the worse as it did last week. Roadie / merch man / best friend / and 6th Every Time I Die member JEFF "DURST" STRANNAHAN refused medical attention for 7 days before literally being forced to go to the hospital, all because he didn't want to miss a day of tour. From there things just got worse; kidney failure, hives, a spinal tap, 105 to 94 degree fever, vomitting, respirators, and even comas to name a few. The doctors said if we had waited two more hours he "wouldn't have made it". SCARY. All Jeff said was that he promised to fly out to us the moment he got better, but it doesn't look like he will be joining back up with us this time. As you are reading this, Jeff remains at the ICU in St. Louis, hundreds and hundreds of miles from home. Even worse than still not knowing what is wrong with him, is the fact that he has no health insurance. That's where Every Time I Die and Jeff's legions of friends come in. Our previously scheduled Buffalo, NY show will now be a 100% benefit for Jeff and his family. donating to the raffles will be prizes from FERRET RECORDS, TRUSTKILL RECORDS, VICTORY RECORDS, DIESEL JEANS, NIKE, SONY MUSIC, FUELED BY RAMEN RECORDS, GUITAR CENTER, HOD TATTOO, AFTER DARK ENTERTAINMENT, TOUR CITY, PIZZA PLANT, PANOS, CLEAR CHANNEL, ETID, BLEEDING THROUGH, THROWDOWN, LAMB OF GOD, MISERY SIGNALS, ZAO, THE BRONX, ATREYU and TONS more - added daily. A PayPal account is set up at www.tour-city.com and we are also collecting donations at our shows. Anyone who knows Jeff should not be surprised by the amount of support he is receiving, and anyone who doesn't has been missing out. He is truely a legend in the making and we wish him nothing but a speedy recovery.
We hope to see you all on the 6th and will keep you updated on the show as well as his condition as much as possible. www.tour-city.com
