Anyone who doesn't think there are other good games on xbox, just haven't played enough of them. I have a PS2 for RPGs and such, but xbox is definitely the best all around system.


And there's absolutely nothing nerdy about playing halo. it's a game that transcends all classifications. lol. it's so sweet.

i just played halo 2 actually with some guys a couple doors down, and.. i dunno, maybe it was the fact the screen was extremely small and i was a little drunk, but i'm not extremely impressed.

I personally don't see why the zoom was such a problem for people. I've killed people so many times who are using their pistol to semi-snipe, all you have to do is be intelligent, and know how to kill proficiently with every weapon. I'd always get made fun of for using the needler, that is until someone became a glass-shard pincushion and exploded to death.

The pistol was stupid because you don't snipe with pistols. It'd be like having an assault rifle with heat-seeking bullets: simply unrealistic. As for the needler (which is much, much better in Halo 2), if you tried to use that against me or any decent player I know in Halo, you'd get laughed at and destroyed. It's a terrible weapon, end of story. Maybe you were playing terrible opponents.

There's a difference between realistic and feasible. A pistol with a scope on it is neither realistic nor feasible. And I guess I'm a complete twat.

Again, Master Chief isn't a normal soldier, he is one-being-wrecking crew. I don't see why it's inconceivable that he would have use for a pistol with a scope. Probably would have made his job a helluva lot easier (like it did). And there is no way you could snipe from a mile away with the magnum, x2 zoom? Come on, that's weak, maybe a 200-300 yards at best.
