Allister (http://www.allisterrock.com) entered Atlus Recording Studios on Monday with Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) armed with their instruments and cases of Budweiser to start demoing for their follow up to Last Stop Suburbia.

They might as well just release Last Stop Suburbia under a different name!

But they aren't bad live

their first record "dead ends..." was good, but "last stop..." was complete shit. here's hoping it's more like their first record. (meaning the songs are short and fast and scotty sings a lot). their last one was just generic pop-punk, and the glossy production ruined the unique sound they had before.

i think they're annoying and lack talent. that's just my opinion though. listen if you'd like, it's not hurting me.

I know this might be a little off topic but since the thread title was "Alex Rodriguez is Dirty and Not Slick," I thought I'd mention this. Has anyone else noticed that these last couple games have seemed awkward? Perhaps the umpires making calls or not making calls like they were in the beginning? Fox and MLB stand to lose ALOT of money if this series were to have been swept by the Yankees, what with only 4 games being played. Not to mention that this series was billed and ultra hyped to be a great series. This series actually draws more viewers than a typical World Series. Does anyone else find it a little fishy that the Yankees could win three in a row in a somewhat dominant fashion, and then all of a sudden just lose it? I'm not saying that I don't respect the Red Sox because I know what a great team they are but honestly this series just seemed rigged to go to a Game 7 because a Game 7 would draw bigger ratings and generate more revenue than probably half the World Series games. Anyone else out there notice what I'm saying?

Well, I don't find anything fishy because the calls that were made in the last two games affected both teams - it's just that the Red Sox won both. For example, in game 6 they called Ortiz out when he stole that base when he was safe and he also got called for a strike when he didn't even make half a swing (granted, Manny a few up-to-bats before did make a swing more than halfway around that they said wasn't a swing). Then there was the game 6 last night where they made the right call by declaring it a homerun when it bounced off the fan back onto the field and the play where they called Rodriguez out after he SWATTED the ball out of the glove on his way to first. I don't really think there's any conspiracy.

remember kids the proper pronunciation of Matt Allison's name is "MATallison".

say it fast and you'll get the lame joke.

if you don't get it, weeeeeell keep buying those simple plan cds.

Yes these are valid points. I didn't mean to take anything away from the Red Sox, but this series still seems fishy to me. I've never witnessed any series that ever had such a dramatic turn EVER before and I think it's because the rivalry almost went stale. They had to spice things up. Well I'm glad it did get spiced up because even though I'm a lifelong Yankees fan, born and raised in NY, it was getting boring after that third game. I just hope it doesn't cost them the series. Well after all that being said, here's to a GREAT game tonight, and go Yanks.

those kind of conspiracies only exist in basketball playoffs and not in our beloved baseball.

When it comes down to it......it's money. thats all. (Dodgers next year baby!)
and Allister is a good band, but suck because they dont make albums after a two-year time of touring like other bands, so ya, but they're good to listen to on a saturday night with your friends.

Dear Allister,

Please muzzle the guy with the annoying high-pitch vocals and let the other guy sing. You'd be an overall decent pop rock band if you did that.

Signed,
The Bossman
