Yeah they are really good live, there were there with another band. But for the life of me I cannot remember the name. Sum 41, Linkin Park, Mindless Self Indulgence, and My chem. All VERY good bands in concert, all good voices and very pumped for the crowd. I have never had a bad experience seeing them in concert.

I'm excited for this album. I love listening to new Senses Fail. They're the band who's music always serves as a pleasant reminder of how far I've come since sophomore year of high school (taste-wise) and reinforces the fact that I could very well still be entrenched in this filth. It's like watching that godawful contemporary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoon that debuted around 2002, only Senses Fail are clearly trying to reach a much younger audience than TMNT.

I think Kearn meant it's more the fact that his lyrics are overly simple and in no way creative that make him bad, not the fact that they are based on more "depressing" concepts. I also think he means that if you want to say Senses Fail is good, don't just say "well they're a lot better than [insert band]", actually say why you like them.. in both cases I wholeheartedly agree..

The difference is, they also speak/write/sing about the entire spectrum of the human experience and emotion - not just mining one facet of their existence (Depression/angst). Moreover, they do so much better and put to either more challenging or infinitely more pleasing instrumentation.

Conversely, let me ask you, what do you find about my list to be absurd? The sheer lenght and size? I'll answer why it's the lenght it is. I don't feel the need to try and compartmentalize my favorite acts and musicians into neatly defined "Top 5-10-20-random number" lists, as it does a disservice to the acts themselves, and I find that I spend so much time desperately trying to decide what work is more dense or nuanced or special that it takes away from my enjoyment. Rest assured, if they're on my list, they're a favorite (for better or worse), and they don't need to be widdled down so that they fit an easy-to-read format.

However, in the name of good-naturedness, I wasn't "clashing with your taste." Yes, I find Senses Fail to be awful. Conversely, I love some awful bands/music and am fully aware of this. Where we "clash" (how needlessly dramatic) is that the reasoning in which you convey to all of us why Senses Fail are good isn't a reason at all.

Senses Fail are one of the few bands nowadays who released a better follow up album so hopefully this one will follow suit.

I'll agree there. I do have a soft spot for Senses Fail, and I usually check out all of their albums even though I have never been a huge fan of them.

I liked them from the first song I heard right before they signed to Drive-Thru. At the time it was something a bit different and exciting. Now I go back to "From the Depth of Dreams" and realize how bad it is. But I do like all the albums that followed. Hope the new one is good. I've enjoyed everything I've heard so far.

You know, I like Senses Fail as much as the next guy, but everyone's gotta calm down over the record not leaking. The album release date is October 7th, not September. Yeah, a lot of albums do get leaked over the internet prior to their release date, but a lot of semi-mainstream artists usually don't have their albums drop even on the internet until the weekend of the release date (Gym Class Heroes - The Quilt, Hawthorne Heights - Fragile Future). Not to sound like a prick, but I'm from Jersey and I live in an area very close to the towns the members of Senses Fail grew up in, and a close friend of mine has a father who is a business manager for the band. From what I've heard from these guys, Senses Fail and Vagrant really wanted to prevent this album from releasing prematurely, or "leaking" before October. Sure, the album can leak: I Am Ghost has a new album set to be released 10/7, but leaked about a week ago. Yet on the contrary, Rise Against also has an album to be released 10/7, and has also not leaked. So it's really unclear of what new aspects of this album will be unveiled.

I think everyone needs to calm down a little bit, both people who love or hate Senses Fail. I'll be honest, I'm more than excited for Life Is Not A Waiting Room; I can't wait to see them for a seventh time in November. I'm stoked. But I also understand the functions of a calendar and I realize that there are still another two weeks between now and October 7th, and therefore I'm not going to go crazy looking for torrents of this record on a daily basis, when I'm just going to go to the record store in two weeks anyway.

As far as the people who hate Senses Fail are concerned, fine. They're a little emo, their singles are pretty light (and only their singles cause they have their heavier songs), and I can understand why people wouldn't like them. Maybe the people on this thread that go on and on about their hate for Senses Fail really liked them when they were fourteen, went to see them on Warped a few years back, and then got one of their front teeth knocked out by some fat sweaty guy in a pit, and thus blame it on Senses Fail. Whatever it may be, if you don't like a band, you shouldn't have to share that with people who do. We're all on absolutepunk because we like some bands across the genre. You can go praise or admire any artists you want with other fans; we're not hindering that at all. We'll be stoked for our album, and you listen to what you want. Just because you don't like a band doesn't entitle you to discourage other fans of the band from enjoying what they like.

I'm just sick of opening this thread and seeing WHY WON'T THIS ALBUM LEAK and SENSES FAIL SUCK. I wish this was just a thread where everyone just shared how stoked they were for Life Is Not A Waiting Room, two years following their last release of Still Searching, which I also thought was awesome. Senses Fail is one of my favorite bands. I don't know what they mean to you, but to me, they are a local band who I have witnessed go from local Jersey punks to big-time rockers. I've seen Senses in concert far more times than any other band out there. I play almost all of their discography on my guitar every day. Their chemistry, power, and agression as musicians, combined with Buddy's sharp, grasping vocals and captivating lyrics never cease to impress me. So I am patiently awaiting for October 7th to come, so these guys of Senses Fail can once again amaze me with a dozen songs of pure punk rock brilliance.

I feel the same way. I had followed them for awhile, but from what I've heard from the tracks already released from this album, I am not impressed. They should have stuck with what worked instead of Buddy constantly trying to change his vocal styles.

Yes! Finally we can listen to it!! I'm on the 2nd track, Fireworks at Dawn was sweet, wish it was longer though.
