A horrible things looks to be going on here. Hopefully it isn't too late.

I read an article about this. It is madness to think that we could be heading for another mass extinction.

The salmon up here are hooped to. Normally hundreds of thousands of Chinook salmon pass through my town every summer. So far less than 1000.

yeah it's getting pretty bad in parts of alaska to, what was once the largest red salmon fishery in the world (in kodiak) had to be closed this year for lack of fish, numbers dropped off after the exxon valdez oil spill, and statewide have only gotten worse since.........and now they're trying to put a massive open pit mine in what is currently one of the largest fisheries (if not the largest) in the world in bristol bay.

Amphibians had it coming. They're nature's flip-floppers. Land or water: choose a side, already!
