i just got it and i have to say, im loving it. ive become a little bit antisocial for the past few hours (not accepting phone calls/im's) and im just having a blast riding around on my BMX. it doesnt have the style that vice city had, but its still great. a lot of my friends hated it after they played for 10 or 15 minutes, but it takes time to get into. as soon as you start building your character and finishing missions, the game is a blast! definitely a worthy addition to the series

When does that come out? Hopefully they cut down on the movies/cutscenes in this one. They got a little out of control in MGS 2. Especially since you couldn't skip past them, or at least we never found a way to do it. I swear 90% of that game was sitting there watching cutscenes.

I didn't mind. It was all part of the story. It's just like Resident Evil. You need the cutscenes.

Have you READ what they've done to the fucking series? They've totally changed EVERYTHING. The first two MGS games are two of my favorite games of all time, but I'm not even remotely looking forward to this new one. They've totally ruined everything that was cool about that game.

People who get pissed when a sequal or addition to a series isn't exactly the same as the last need to look at it from the creators perspective. Not many people would be happy with GTA Vice City 2, or MGS 2:2. Look at FF 10:2 Not many people liked that game because it was like an expansion pack of FF 10. dude, ffx-2 was nothing near to what ffx was. It was completely different.....it really didn't feel a thing like the original one.

And as for MGS3, i've played the demo and it is my 2nd most wanted game after GTA:SA. Seriously, when i think about it, MGS2 really sucks compared to MGS. MGS3 seems more like MGS on psone, which is awesome, because that game is fuckin amazing. Trust me, MGS3 is where it's gonna be at (after GTA of course :wink3: )

Halo, Fable, Ninja Gaiden, the only system where the Splinter Cell games are worth playing...

Saying something like that is just an obvious compensation for not owning one. lol. Any game that exists on a different platform is a totally different (and better) experience on xbox. I know, i own a ps2 and a box, and if a game comes out for both i ALWAYS buy it on box.

In certain places there's these little icons floating around (kind of like the little houses that let you buy property). You stand over the icon and the other person just presses a button on the 2nd controller and it goes into 2 player mode. It's not split screen, you just have to stay within a certain distance of each other (and you can switch the camera focus between either of the two players or just a further away shot of both of them), which gets kind of tough when you have cops going crazy everywhere.

I actually stumbled across it by accident. Somehow I was driving around, flew off a cliff and landed in an airport that I hadn't unlocked yet. There was a helicopter there so I took that and just started flying around. I ended up in the "Las Vegas" area, which I also hadn't unlocked yet. If you go somewhere that you haven't opened yet, it automatically gives you about 4 or 5 stars and they just try to destroy you (while I was flying the helicopter F16s started chasing me and shot me down with missles). So, I was just running around and came across the 2 player spot in that area. It sucked because for some reason the 2nd player can't run worth crap, and there were some other things I couldn't get it to do, which made it tough when you have 4 or 5 stars and cops trying to destroy you everywhere.

The one I found was by some big building (I don't remember specifically where) over in the island that's supposed to be like Las Vegas (top right corner of map). It's the last place that you unlock, so it could take a while for you to get there, unless you want to jack a helicopter and fly there or swim across the river (which will raise your wanted level and make it pretty tough to get there). It's the only one I've seen so far and I came across it by accident, so who knows. Maybe different ones make you do different things and I just happened to find the one that doesn't make you do a mission.

One of the best games I have ever played...maybe the best. I beat GTA:3 in a month and Vice City in 5 days (yes 5 days) that is the truth I played it like non stop though. I am currently in San Fierro 31% done the game. I haven't had the time to really play it like I want.

Question:Do you have to buy Zero's shop? I have been getting along without it but was just wondering if you had to buy it.

I don't think you have to buy Zero's shop to advance the story, but you're going to have to do it to get 100%. I say just do it if you want a challenge that will feel rewarding when you beat it. His 3rd mission is sort of cool too (I'd like it better if the controls weren't so shitty). But yeah, the Zero Supply Lines... mission is still the toughest one I've played in the game, and I'm about 5 story mode missions away from beating the game.

Robbing that bank reminds me of Heat and I agree with this but I prefer the music on GTAIV even though it is only one station (wanna guess which one) and even though the hydra was awesome you couldn't use it as effectively as I would have liked.

Beat the game on PS2 when it first came out and I'm going to buy it this summer on Xbox marketplace for nostalgia sake /another'coolstory'bro

Yea, since I bought the game at the beggining of the year, I haven't stopped wasting time in LC.

The physic engines alone make the game superior but when you add the cover system, the new combat system, the cinema caliber story and how alive the city is, the old games don't compare.

I'm replaying San Andreas and I forgot how goofy the story was. I'm flying RC planes for dumb reasons and doing those missions where "you can't get to close to the enemy" bullshit rather than robbing a bank or having a huge shootout at a museum.

To SA's credit though, the music is better, the weapons are more fun, and the Hydra is badass.

The RC plane mission was badass. I love anything with flying.

If they ever remake this game for PS3, it will be amazing. Imagine the graphics of GTA 4 mixed with the epic scope of San Andreas. It would be incredible, assuming that they could still fit in all the gameplay elements.

Good game. They took a lot of risks with the two player and weight loss/gain modes. They didn't really pan out, but I think this was and might be the last great GTA.

You could also swim. And you get girlfriends throughout the course of the game and have to keep them happy through dates and whatnot.

I remember watching news reports on that and how the ESRB changed the game's rating to AO and taking the game off shelves and shit

I mean, Hot Coffee is kinda considered as porn (you can glitch it even further to make the woman naked and CJ in his boxers) because you can do it as many times as you want..you could just do that all day and masturbate to 3-D animated porn, which is pretty disgusting

Yeah but you didn't have to work out if you didn't want to. It's just that your character wouldn't be very effective at running/fighting/etc... It just helped to make the game even more immersive, in my opinion.
