I just purchased one online and I'm using to quiet my clean channel down a bit. It should be shipping today or tomorrow, so I won't have it or the manual in hand for a few days.

I've noticed that it has an input and an output jack, as well as a send and return jack. Does this mean that I can run input/output section into the input on my head and the send/return section to my effects loop, or no?

I've never seen this configuration on a pedal before and I'm curious as to if that's what I can do.

That's exactly how it works :)

Thanks. Have you used it before? What did you think of it, if you did?

I knew I could count on you. I'll check it out when I'm on a computer.

I looked in the manual, and apparently, you're supposed to run your signal into the input, then from the send into your other pedals, then back into the return, then from the output of the NS-2 into the input of your amp.

I have it myself, I been trying to use it on my band mate's line 6 combo on insane mode full gain, that's a terrible idea. I also used it on an orange head (not sure what one), with full gain but it still had feedback. It dampens stuff like pinch harmonics though because it takes out high end frequency's. I know it could potentially work well, I just never have enough time to get it set up right. I've read a few posts on other forum's saying some NS-2's are faulty though so that may be the problem. Overly long post haha sorry!

Really? I don't think I've ever seen a professional guitarist list their pedal board without including an NS-2. My guitarist uses it and it makes the world for cleaning up unwanted noise. It seems like a go-to pedal, to me. Never heard of a faulty one..

That would make sense. Quiets the signal before the pedal chain, then quiets the pedals down before the amp.
