I'm a few hours late pulling into the Recommendation gates, but eh, we can look past my worser qualities right? batter up! i have a nice pallet this week for you to eat off of. recognize.
Strung Out (http://www.strungout.com) - the new album from one of the more underrated bands in the scene is REALLY good. I'd say it's their best work to date. Exile In Oblivion is 'heavier' than their previous records, but still captures that classic punk rock sound that they own so well. Get this when it comes out.
Satisfaction (http://www.purevolume.com/satisfaction) - fucking incredible piano rock. I can see most of you digging this catchy band, so take that to heart. I promise, you'll get SATISFACTION OUT OF IT..hAHHAHAHAHHAH .... get it??
Cru Jones (http://www.purevolume.com/crujones) - their bio says their music "hints at technicality but maintains a sense of pop with memorable harmonies and choruses." and i'd say thats dead on. and imagine what this band is like live..i can picture a hell of an energetic show just from their songs.
Northstar (http://www.northstarrock.com) - cause seeing them play acoustic earlier this week was amazing, even though it was only 5 songs. If you haven't for some reason checked out their last album, "Pollyanna", then we can't be friends anymore. (it'd be funnier if you stopped me then and said "chris, we never were friends.")
Holiday Parade (http://www.purevolume.com/holidayparade) - a very poppy catchy little solo dude that does all the instruments. Sounds like a hybrid between Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional, somewhat.
and i'd like to recommend that stealing wet floor signs from stores is not only fun, but comes in handy. i had a party at my place last night, and i pulled it out many times when idiots spilled drinks, so that no one would hurt themselves.
i'm going as one of the fly girls from IN LIVING COLOR for halloween. in case you were wondering.
