Pop music is great... maybe you mean "What shitty 80s/90s music do you like"..
if so, then :
Lit - My Own Worst Enemy
Culture Club - Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Culture Club - Karma Chameleon
Oh and by the way OP... Hanson is pretty popular now.

At least your family is into music! All my mom listens to is Cher, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. And not really even. She doesn't really listen to music unless she's driving, and then it's just the radio, whatever she thinks is pretty.

I considered doing this on a train once, until some crazy guy came on and started yelling at everyone about how he just got out of jail and had no money or place to crash. It would have been an mmm-boppin' good time.

Haha. I knew that. I thought it was pretty well-known.
Also I like:
Timbaland/OneRepublic- Apologize. I always thought it was a pretty song and it's fun to sing along to.
I don't like the Jonas Brothers, but whenever I hear them in a store or when someone's listening to the Top 40 radio station, I listen. I'm trying to understand what's so great about them.
Apologize is pretty much the only radio-pop song I've liked in a very long time, I guess. Some of the bands I listen to could be considered pop-rock or pop-punk, but most of it isn't.
