View Full Version : Flyleaf reference in new Underoath album?

Hi, just been listening through Lost In The Sound Of Separation (it's awesome) but I'm not here to talk about it's awesomeness, just a quick question.

In the song 'Anyone Can Dig A Hole But It Takes A Real Man To Call It Home' after around 35 seconds a riff comes in that's quite high pitched and i thought 'i've heard that before' then i realised it was a Flyleaf song, I'm So Sick to be precise, a similar riff comes in at 50 seconds i think, now that happens quite a bit, riffs sound similar and whatnot, but then one of the lyrics in the same song is 'I'm so sick' not long after that same riff, is this a nod to flyleaf or just coincidental?

I would agree thought, both these bands are lame.
But I'm not going to waste my time and go out of my way to bash someone about it, I have better things to do.

It's not just about Underoath though, it's about Underoath and Flyleaf. I don't think it would belong in there. It's like a whole other subject.

Even if I was a fan of Underoath I wouldnt download it before it came out. I only leak albums Im iffy about to see if they're worth getting.

Eh, I download leaks from bands I love and ones I'm iffy about. I like hearing music sooner rather than later. If I enjoy it, I still buy it. It's not like it keeps the band from making money off of me. Unless it sucks.

This one I just downloaded out of curiosity though. I would never buy it.

I'll probably download it after it comes out. I mean, you never know about those kinds of bands. They could magically get their act together and put out somthing I might enjoy listening to. Probably not Underoath, though.
