I'm sure many of you are fans of this legendary and reclusive Writer/Director.

Having directed only 4 feature films in almost 40 years:

Badlands(1973)
Days Like Heaven(1978)
Thin Red Line(1998)
The New World(2005)

His new movie Tree of Life is currently in production with a release date thought to be mid 2009 and he is also in pre-production of another movie The English Speaker.

I have always been moved by the way his movies are directed, the long camera landscapes shots, subtle music, minimal dialogue.

I find it amazing that a man of this caliber has such a small resume but the quality of his work outshines almost anything that you see around today.

What are your thoughts?

I love Badlands and Thin Red Line; never senn Days Like Heaven and didn't like The New World. I can't wait for Tree of Life, hopefully it actually comes out next year.

My favorite is The New World. I love Malick because he captures humans and nature in ways I've never seen before. I love his work.

I really like how The New World is kind of like a silent film where the visuals tell you so much. The beginning of The Thin Red Line makes me feel the exact same way.

It's a shame Tree Of Life won't feature Ledger now.
