BOATS isn't really all that hated, except by the fans of SILYMI who didn't want the new sound and the Geffen execs who tried to change the album. Alt. Press, and even this website, gave it stellar reviews and it's still held by many as the best TSL album and one of the best to ever come out of the genre. Finch-Say Hello To Sunshine. I think it's groundbreaking.

Manipulator is good, Doppelganger is way better though. I used to hate Say Hello to sunshine, but I have grown to like it recently

It's alright. Not really my thing but not as bad as some make it out to be. It's on a par with What It is to Burn but for completely different reasons.
Like most people it seems, I disliked it at first but it grew on me pretty quick, and eventually became my favorite Finch album.

It's not an album I listen to a lot (I've never been a huge Finch fan to begin with) but it's certainly not a terrible album.

While it garnered praise from critics, many MMJ fans feel it's a poor album and that it's seemingly inferior to At Dawn, which I agree with for the most part (with the exception of Dondante being the best written song recorded by MMJ), but Z was still a fine, if not stellar album.

I don't really know if it is hated- but I'll go w/ Northstar's 'Is This Thing Loaded?' - I don't know too many people that like that album...I guess because of how raw the recording sounds...but I've always liked that album a lot

I didn't feel that passionate about its quality. In fact, I didn't feel much of anything for it, which is quite telling. Its just...there. I've not yet dedicated more than two listens to it, and neither listens gave me any incentive to return to it. So incredibly...mediocre and forgettable.

I gave it another chance today, and even the production is horrible, the bass just doesn't work and the mix is all tinny.
