They weren't too great on Conan. Jenny sounded scared out of her mind, she wasn't singing well at all. Also, they shoulda played a different song. "Love and War" or "It Just Is" if possible. Or better yet, tell Jenny to sit on the sidelines while a real indie band, The Elected, cut lose. Blake Sennett is simply a better musician than Jenny Lewis

It was their first television appearance, so you can't really bash um there. Portions for Foxes is one of the best songs on that album (though seeing them do Love and War or I Never would be nice, but I've seen them live and PFF is great live.)

"portions for foxes" is the poppiest song on the album, so it makes sense they'd play that one. i thought they were pretty good on conan. it was their first television appearance and she was really nervous, so her voice being a bit shaky was understandable. but it wasn't so shaky that it made the performance bad.

i like the elected, but i highly doubt we'll be seeing them on tv anytime soon. espcially with rk taking off like this.
