I've been listening too alot of music like Reign of Kindo, Manchester Orchestra, Anathallo, Annuals, and such.
I'd really like some CD's to track down and give a listen, some beautiful kind of introspective stuff, Any suggestions?

I've been listening to a lot of Explosions In The Sky. I'd definately rec them if you've never listened.

I suggest good music. Start with Nick Drake, Iron & Wine, Leonard Cohen, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Talk Talk, John Lennon, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Smog, and so on.

If you don't mind a lack of vocals, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Steve Reich, Thelonious Monk, etc.

whatever happened to the official recommendations thread?

Oh well.

You may want to check out The Assembly Line though.

I had only ever heard one Explosions in the Sky and that's exactly what I was looking for.
I had never heard of The Assembly Line, and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Aside from Iron and Wine, although I appreciate those artists, I can not get into them. Sorry man.

You can ask Thor for the whole EP - if you check my threads you can check a review of it as well.

exactly...yeah I knew that...

My friend showed them to me on his ipod the other day and I was impressed....he said he could only find 3 songs, and I was sure he called them Kind of Like Spinning.

Their band name just went from bad to worse.
