I believe it is. It was so simple and the games were so good. Golden Eye, perfect dark, mario kart mario tennis, the original supersmash.
what do you guys think? greatest console ever? or is there better? if so what?

I vote Xbox 360. I've had tons of video game systems in the past and I was a casual, but with the 360 I now look at myself as a hardcore gamer - I play lots of games, all the time. I'm just blown away by the game play graphics, sound, online play, etc.

I feel the same way. I've never been big into gaming at all, but this generation of consoles has almost turned me into a borderline nerd.

we went in there and he asked how much they buy sega genesis for, they told him they dont buy what they cant sell and some kid came in earlier that day and had left an n64 because no one would take it...so he asked if he could have it, and they gave it to him

i went with snes because i grew up on it. it taught me the ways of the video game.
Snes had DK Country 1-3, Yoshi's Island, The Adventures Of Batman & Robin, Turtles In Time, etc. Best system of all time.

Perfect Dark was waaaay a head of its time think of all the shit you could do, like when you punched someone they dropped there weapon and then their screan went all blurry and how you could control the bots on your team, that game was one of if not the best game ever. Also Zelda ruled!
When I was at uni we had a PS2 but always just played the N64 because it had 4 controllers and better multiplayer games.

nintendo 64 was my second favorite system, only to sega genesis. and it doesnt seem as though anyone agrees with me, but imo it had the best versions of the best games with the best controller (the 6 button one): sonic 1, sonic & knuckles, sonic pinball, street fighter : championship edition, mortal kombats, streets of rage, golden axe, etc. basically the snes/genesis generation had every one of my favorite games of all time, minus FFVII, Mario 64, and Halo.

N64 is awesome! Mario 64 was revolutionary. I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking how beautiful it was. The Zelda games for it were great.

I'd also have to go with Super Nintendo. The NES was awesome, if only for Mario 1-3, Duck Hunt, and the original Zelda, but I can't argue with Super Mario World, DK Country, Mario RPG, Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, and Kirby Superstars. I also have to give some love to Gamecube, for Resident Evil 4, Wind Waker, MK Double Dash, Smash Bros. Melee, and Twilight Princess (I know it is also on the Wii). Even though I am completely satisfied with my Xbox360, Nintendo really is the greatest game maker of all time, bar none.

Majora's Mask= Most Underrated Game Ever
Seriously, this game doesn't get enough credit for what it did, especially since Ocarina was so huge. Majora was the first game where I actually clocked in over 200 hours on. Banjo Kazooie also pwns...
IDK now, I guess I'd probably have to put SNES and N64 at a tie, with NES, 360, Gamecube, and Wii tied closely behind. Yeah, I'm so fucking indecisive...

ok. ocarina of time fucking kicks ass. goldeneye is amazing too. those two games alone make the console the best ever, they are that good. majoras mask i tried out for a little bit and i didn't like it at all, maybe i should try it out again but i hated the whole concept with time and everything. anyway ocarina of time is the best game fucking ever
