Has anyone here seen Sicko? Its a great documentary from Michael Moore that covers on Health care. And how the U.S is kinda the only country where the people have to pay for health care in order to get medical attention. Why does this government spend all of our money on our military? What about the citizens? Sorry if this thread is meaningless, I don't mean to offend anyone on this board. I just need honest opinions.

It's on my netflix queue. Despite all the shit he gets, I think he makes fantastic films. Farhenheit 9/11 enraged me to the verge of tears, and Bowling of Columbine = Heston pwned. I want to check this out.

I thought the movie was good and brought up some interesting points about the lack of health care for the U.S.
You should watch. Its a real eye opener.

Sicko is the most frustrating documentary I've ever fucking seen. I can't stand Moore and I was never so moved by the heart-tugging stories in that documentary. I was pissed and I almost punched a bitch for saying "Get a better job" about some of the people involved.

Right, Moore really displays and O'Reilly-esque quality in this interview, what an asshole. Moore is really against gun control, too. Oh, wait, Moore's a member of the NRA! Isn't that funny?

Here's how hard it is to get a membership. https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/signup.asp Gee, now i wonder if Moore is a legitamate member or if all that was just for dramatic effect?

You usually have to take Moore with a grain of salt, but this documentary is fantastic. I don't see how anyone can argue with it's message.

it was a good movie for sure, but i thought the Guantanamo Bay bit at the end was a little ridiculous

It was obvious they wouldn't let them in, but it was just proving a point. And the fact that they did get real medical care in Cuba, a place considered "evil" by the sates in general, is also a pretty strong message. Not to mention it's great that the people got help, regardless where it came from.

Q1iuEcu7O50I loved Bowling For Columbine, but there were a ton of inaccuracies with it. A good portion of the lying (if you want to call it that) by Moore was through the Charlton Heston gun rally bit. He spliced all of the footage and speeches Heston made to make it look like he was giving that gun rally in Littleton, Colorado when in reality he's showing footage of a gun rally that took place like a year later somewhere else. So as much as I loved it, I was really mad at Moore for a couple of the inaccuracies during it (one of them being the speech footage).
Though I think the best part of that movie is arguably his interview with Marylin Manson. Manson was spot on:

I like his topics and his message, but I don't like hio. Something about him just really annoys me. He likes to fabricate stuff too, as seen in Bowling For Columbine.

Moore has been a NRA member for most of his life.

Columbine happened in 1999 so unless Bush found a loophole and somehow became President a year earlier than he was supposed to......
2. You totally missed his point, so congratulations.
2. I was referring to the quote he says at the end.
3. It's 'couldn't care less', not 'could care less.'

That video is kind of funny in that Lieberman thought marilyn manson was the worst group ever. Oh, for Joe Lieberman to have been at a GG Allin show.
