Halifax (http://www.halifaxrock.com) will be re-releasing their EP, A Writer's Reference, on January 25th, 2005. It will include an acoustic version of the song "Sydney." The band also has a new song called "Murder I Wrote" on the upcoming Drive-Thru (http://www.drivethrurecords.com) comp, Welcome To The Family Part 2, which is also slated for a January release. You can expect the band's full-length to hit shelves in late spring.

I hate re-releases. I always get stuck with the original that has less stuff on it.

Halifax c.d. will be amazing and I'm GLAD they're re-releasing it because I can't find the original ANYWHERE! and a new acoustic version of Sydney!!! sweet. Welcome to the family 2 will rock.

Murder I Wrote is an awesome song, they played it last time I saw them. I can't wait to hear the full length.

go to www.heartsandsleeves.com for an interview with Halifax, it's in the "previous issue"

you can also check out interviews with their label mates Socratic and An Angle, in the current issue.
