yeah so my mom is a big freak about my grades, even though she is kinda dumb herself. but anyways, we got progress reports monday and i got 4 A's, 1 B, and 1 C, a 3.5 gpa. pretty good right? i thought so too. but it turns out i must make all a's and b's. so im not allwoed ot do anything during the week but go to the gym and play baseball. thats not bad, but taking back sunday played here last night and i wanted to go so bad, but she wouldnt let me fuckin go. luckily i didnt have a ticket, but still. is she being too extreme?

Don't worry, my mom gets mad if I get Cs and I'm a freakin' college student...in mechanical engineering for that matter. Most of my fellow classmates are happy when they get Cs. I don't think she would've gone as extreme as your mom, but she wouldn't be happy...

Of course, I'm a dork and I wouldn't be happy with myself either. I've only gotten 1 C in my life and that was the 1st semester of my sophomore year in college.

my parents were the same way. it would really piss me off when i would bring a report card home and i would have all a's and one c, and all they could see was that one c. so it just got to the point where i quit caring because nothing seemed good enough for them, and they just got to the point where they gave up on me. i would come home with report cards that didn't meet their standards one bit, i had "conduct" problems and i skipped classes and came late and ended up having to get saturday school and detention with all the losers. and then on the weekends i would go out and do whatever until 4 in the morning. they also thought i wasn't going to graduate, which is ridiculous, because i ended up graduating with a 4.3 gpa, one of the top 50 students in the county, and besides getting the state scholarship that pays 100% of my tuition, i got a national merit scholarship.
needless to say, i've managed to shut them up for a while.

i know a girl whose mother freaks out if she even gets a b. which i find sickening. personally, i'm happy with a b or even a c+. there are more important things in life than grades. at least you'll end up being more understanding towards your own children. (if you have any.) :blah:

she did that because you didnt get all A's and B's ??? bloody hell, you need to just have a go at her, its your life at the end of the day. Sure she wants you to do well, but its not her life to control.

If u wana goto a gig or something just do it anyway, if your happy with your grades then do what u want.
