The Postal Service has reached an agreement with the United States Postal Service. They decided to work out a cross promotion deal where the band's songs can be used in commercials for USPS. The band may also play at some conference. You can read the article at Pitchfork.

No one heard of this? They were making them change their name until they heard their music. I love that. Even USPS cannot help fall in love with the Postal Service. New Postal Service in 2006! Good lord thats so long...
Perfect example of the stupidity of the American system... I mean thank God they don't have to change thier name but the idea that an instituion holds the right to a word when there is no fraud even remotely involved.... It wasn't like people were handing The Postal Service their letters or trying to buy stamps from them...

I also heard Underoath is going to be performing in courthouses around the nation to remind witnesses of their duties, as well as The Starting Line to play a new song at every nascar event in 2005 right at... the starting line...

Hahahaha, what the fuck!?
The United States Postal Service should have to alter their name, because the Postal Service is that good.
