Or not interesting at all and really fishing for something to blame the terrible showing of the dems on...

I'm so not even trying to make a political argument out of it...I just thought it was funny.

Lighten up chief...

(and it was hardly a terribly showing, you act like he won in a land slide. It was actually one the closest elections ever for an incumbent during war time...but, the election is over...time to put a smile on your face and wipe off the war paint.)

Well with all these "homophobic racists" posts around here these days, you never know who's serious and who isn't. And you of all people I would have expected to be serious.

This is a "land slide" in my eyes because the Democrats have claimed he's the worst president in the history of the country. How difficult would it be to expose all of those terrible flaws and convince the country that one of their candidates is better? I'd think much easier than they showed if he was in fact, one of the worst presidents.

honestly...the Dems did a pretty bad job overall I think but for what they did and all the shit thrown at them (swift boat vets or whatever) they did well. I know, a lot more mude was slung at Bush but BUsh being the incumbent had a huge advantage and by the Reps being able to warp the public into thinking that Bush's path of destruction was the way to go...and by covering up the facts of this administration really well...they won. The Dems did a bad job at proving Bush was the worst and the Reps did a good job at making Kerry look like a fool. It shoulda been the other way around but I dunno if it woulda done much.

ya, that thing is pretty funny...the country is still divided but whatever...I think the best was the IQ table though.

BAH! LoL...I decided to suspend bitching until he fucks up in this term. (Even though then it would be the 'fool me twice,' cause that's what I said in 2000...but hey, what can ya do. Politics are a cunt)

EDIT: On second thought...It might just be because I'm in a wicked good mood today, so don't hold me to that, lol. :lol2:

When the incumbent has an approval rating in the 40s, do you still think he holds the upper hand? The Dems haven't had a viable candidate since 96, and it doesn't look like they will for a while (barring Obama, but I don't see him running for president anytime soon).

yes he does when that approval rate comes from a lot of people who don't even go out and vote cause they're too kool or they want P. Diddy to kill them or something...he does when a lot of those people hate the incumbent for the sake of hating the incumbent...even if his approval rate is in the 40s...the election shows different statistics so more people must approve of him than anyone else out there.

there are some truths, actually, in the pictures that were posted, but they have very little to do with the south being racist and more to do with southern culture(agriculture, typically more religious, "Bible Belt") vs. northern culture(industry, liberalism).
