i have known big d for something like 6 years now, and they have been around for around 9 years. its rare to see a ska band actually get BETTER with age, but these guys just keep killing it.

the booklet is a good read too, with all the members describing the creative process through the TWENTY songs, none of which drag at all.

dave's rant on the current wave of punk rock is very interesting, stating how "punk music is selling out faster than pop music, or i guess, is pop music (which goes against everything punk stands for)"

all around an amazing band who is honestly in it because they love what they do, and couldn't care less about money (the majority of their members are homeless).

great dudes.

oh, and LAX has "fuck" in it 28 times, "you think you're so fucking impressive, you get your name on a fucking guest list, raise your nose to the people in line, give the doorman a fucking high five"

seriously, despite the 28 f Bombs they drop, LAX is an incredible song, when i first heard them play it live i thought big d was breaking up, the song is pure angst.

L.A. X is definitely an amazing song. I love it. Probably my favourite one off of the new record, which was an awesome record.

Big D is great, my old band played with them about a year and a half ago, and they are just the nicest guys. I haven't heard this album yet, I might go pick it up.

big d is a truly amazing band. one of the only ska bands i ever got into. they play fast, fun music. they put on a hell of a show too. can't wait to hear this new record.
