89X in Detroit has been playing Underoath (http://www.underoath777.com)'s "Reinventing Your Exit" on their nightly people's choice show. If you live in Detroit check out their site (http://www.89xradio.com/peoples_choice.htm) for more info on how to support Underoath there.

detroit was also good for the suicide machines. 9 years later, 'destruction by definition' is still a fantastic album.

Underoath suuuucks.
Lame-o, weiner, emo-sing/scream, formulaic, generic, uninspired music.
Fashion-core fucks...bad haircuts...expensive jeans...
Please stop the trends and the trendy, shitty music.

Oh, lordy! What an insult!!!! LOL!!!!!! Light my pants on fire (because my name is taken from a song titled 'The problem with fire') That is so incredibly witty and clever. Hilarious.
But, seriously.Stop supporting this band, and their weak-ass music. Ok, I admit, the first album was decent, the second was ok, but the new album is terrible...that is, unless, you think bands like A Static Lullaby and Boys Night Out are actually good, then I could see your terrible opinion.

Calling Chad the best hardcore singer is quite a stretch...besides that, he was in NFG before/during the time he sang for Hulud. I can understand that he wanted to make money and get lots of 15 year old pussy. He was still in highschool, so I'm sure he could relate to the song content of NFG.

well i think underoath is still good
and i'm in a band you probably hate
my tight jeans are hand me downs
i haven't cut my hair for months
i'm broke
jobless
and without a vehicle
but the music i make is not uninspired
just because i don't have a ton of breakdowns
and witty one liners
doesn't mean my music means any less than yours
music is music it should unify, not alienate
you're allowed to not like it
but don't put down the people who make it
i love many many genres and styles
and i always give new stuff a chance
shai hulud is amazing
underoath is great
nfg, although they may not be as marketable as they were a few years ago
still make listenable music.
just try not to be so closed minded about things
but everyone knows the best musician ever was johnny cash
and i'll take that to my grave
he was hardcore before anyone else
danny burns once said -rock n roll will never die, it just evolves-
take that into consideration next time.
thanks

Get a job, you fucking bum
Breakdowns can be cool, but are very seldom used well, just over-used
Throwdown and Terror need to stop making tough-guy hardcore
Tough guy hardcore is equally as lame as emo pop punk
Both those bands need to lay off the breakdowns
I think the last Hulud album maybe had one breakdown...maybe
Don't take everyone i say so seriously, this is the internet
I still don't like underoath
Or new found glory
Johnny cash was very, very good

89x is one of the few radio stations I enjoy, I always get juiced about listening to it when I'm in the area (and I'm going to see green day tonight at cobo arena, so i'll have my chance, woot woot).

I don't understand how you would tell someone to stop supporting a band... it's other people's opinions, chill out. I think you'd hate it more if everyone in the world listened to all the music you listened to. diversity's where it's at.

I am not a big fan on 89x. Its not as good as it sounds people. For every time a decent band like Coheed and Cambria or Underoath is played. You have 23 nickelback songs waiting to be played followed by 15 Dashboard confessional songs (which isnt too bad but can be annoying). I am glad they have been noted for playing good bands but I really think the radio will always be a double edged sword in music.
Some songs always hit a note in our hearts and when its released into the world for more ears it hurts. I think a lot of people especially on this website have somewhat of a good music taste and when people who could care less about the music decipher it and its completely wrong. I rather they not here it.
As far as underoath. the new underoath should be called a different name. Its a good cd none the less but those old cds were so much better. The new singer does have more range than dallas.

Here in Lansing though, we don't have any sort of "mainstream" alternative station now that they did away with The Edge about a year ago. Our best station is still MSU's The Impact but even then there's only so many Flaming Lips cover bands I can stand in a row.
I don't get to listen to the radio that much anyway, I have no car antenna. :-\
