Murmur is an awesome album, but that is the only R.E.M. i truly dig. Some of Monster and some other albums are pretty good, but their new stuff = shit.

The worst album of the year by far is Children of Bodom's Blooddrunk: bad thrash, mixed with awful power metal and terrible melo-death metal.

Identity Crisis is a little rough and in some ways Illusion of Safety is as well, but they hit it hard with The Artist in the Ambulance. That record still owns. Then of course they took it to a whole new level with Vheissu. Alchemy Index is a good continuation of Vheissu adding even more depth and creativity to it.

Identity Crisis is a little rough and in some ways Illusion of Safety is as well, but they hit it hard with The Artist in the Ambulance. That record still owns. Then of course they took it to a whole new level with Vheissu. Alchemy Index is a good continuation of Vheissu adding even more depth and creativity to it.

Couldn't agree more, also my worst of the year. I don't think it's a terrible album, but they didn't really do anything with it, just played it safe and rehashed most of the chord progressions and drum beats from their EP ("Kiss and Sell" blatantly rips off "The Way We Talk"). There are some really shitty songs on their too, from "Everything I Ask For" to "Girls Do What They Want"; and that remix of "The Way We Talk" is just painful to listen to, even if it is a bonus track.

Offspring was fine, street dogs was solid, briggs was great, flogging was amazing. Panic CD was shockingly really good. goldfingers was really fine. foxy shazam was a great new addition. i like LTJ's so far... umm, the matches had a few good songs definitley. H2o is solid...

I think, even though I have only heard a couple songs off of it, that Anberlin's "New surrender" might be the worst.

Don't get me wrong, I love Anberlin. Their old stuff is the best. But now that they are on Universal, they've changed their sound. The one entirely new song I've heard "disappear" they sounded good on, but I'm disappointed they rerecorded one of my favorite songs and royally screwed it up. It might not be the bands fault, what with being on a new label, but I prefer the old sound to watered down Anberlin...

It's not the worst album I've heard all year, I actually think its a great album. But The Glass Passenger was a disappointment for me. SoCo and JM are my two favorite bands, and TGP just didnt live up to the expectations I had set. I still listen to it though when Im in the mood.
