I'm late, but all I've been listening to is Cartel (http://www.cartelrocks.com/) and Minus the Bear (http://www.minusthebear.com/). "I Lost All My Money At The Cockfights" has, is, and will always be one of my favorite songs of all time.

...but cartel rocks more and more.

Agreed, and so creative. One of the more orginal bands out there.

Agreed agreed. But a lot of people do know about minus the bear...its like one of those underground bands that haven't broke into mainstream yet, but still have a large fanbase.

minus the bear is fantastic. 'highly refined pirates' will never get old to me.aslkdjfal;sdkf I loved Minus the Bear when I saw them live, but I thought that CD was just bland and boring no matter how many times I listened to it, I just couldn't get into it.

Amazing song titles though.

i'm from california but i'm doing a year abroad, teaching english.

yeah we do get shows here in Japan. tomorrow night your favorite bands are playing here in Tokyo (rufio, dontlookdown, lastyearshero) go beat off man.
