She could be honest and tell you to stay but it looks like you want to walk away. So she lies for you and lets her head hang low, but truthfully, she doesn’t want to let you go. Her heart’s hung lower, and it seems you end up walking slower. She doesn’t know how she agreed to agree with you, maybe its just in something you do. She wishes this wasn’t something she might have to forget, and she wishes you were something she could regret. Your eyes are heavy and your mouth is dry. No words to speak and some secrets to hide. And so she called, and you picked up the phone, she knew exactly, with her, what’s wrong. She knows the actions in her head and this is exactly what she said, “this isn’t right. My heart’s alone. Reasons or excuses, I just want to know. Scared or not, you hurt my heart, and broke my mind and tore apart………all the hope I had. My heart wants you and you can’t find your tongue, to spit out the words that would take the air from my lungs. “
“please let me explain” you say, “there wasn’t really any other way. Honestly, I was just really scared and it wasn’t right to leave you there. If you were afraid, there’d be a day, when you looked up and walked away. My hearts been broken in more than too, but now my heart aches just for you. I wish I could take back the pain that I caused, and hope that you wouldn’t consider me lost. this isn’t easy for me to apologize to you, but it’s just something I really had to do. I’m not scared and I’ll step up to plate, but it’s up to you to tell me if I’m too late.”
