Casey, from the Receiving End Of Sirens (www.thereceivingendofsirens.com), has released a statement on the status of the band's recording process of their new full-length. The disc is being produced by Matt Squire and will be released by Triple Crown Records (www.triplecrownrecords.com) in mid-2005. Check the replies for the official release.

Note: This band will be absolutely huge when this release hits shelves

"At the moment, Alex is on his second day of tracking. Both Andrew and Brendan have finished their tracking for the most part (not including extra transitional tracks) and its sounding amazing. We have two rooms set up right now, one room is for the main tracking, and then I have a room set up with a smaller studio rig tracking extra effects and creating beats. I currently have a mic set up at the door of the adjacent studio where they are tracking an orchestra (im pulling some samples out of of the brass and string sections). Other than that, we are all taking it fairly easy around here- watching a lot of movies. When all is said and done there will be 13 tracks including a large transitional track in the center of the album. A few titles are "Then I Defy You Stars", "Now Would Be a Good Time to Leave", and "Planning a Prison Break". We are rerecording Dead Men Tell No Tales and The War of All Against All but decided not to do The Art of Subversion. Art was one of the first songs we wrote and it just feels old to us all. We wanted to get as much brand new material as we could on the CD and we are very proud. A bulk of the record has been performed over the past few months, but we spent extra time reworking anything we felt wasnt strong. Prior to coming here, we wrote a bunch of new songs, and when we got here, we wrote a few more. This is a very special time to us, and we are very proud of the way things are turning out. I can't wait for everyone to hear it,

thanks,
casey."

Good news to hear, I'm glad TREOS is finally signed, and a tour with Northstar/Brand New can't come sooner. :wink3:
Casey adds so much to this band, a whole new mature sound in consideration to the transition and sequencing effects. Plus having a laptop and a synth on a ironing board is pretty dominator.

Yes it will be amazing. I'm not sure how likely it is, but I was talking to Andrew (of TREOS) and he said that they would love to take Driving in Silence (another Matt Squire success) on the road with them once the album is completed. So look for that maybe to be the opening at on their next tour.

exactly. this is their first real cd. they aren't "going to be huge when this hits the shelves" except for new england, this cd isnt going to end up in every record store in the country. it may be flying off their merch table in the back of the norwood american legion but thats it. its gonna take at least one more full length for them to get solid radio play [nationwide]. and only then will they "blow up".

however, i cant wait because i love this band.

Ben (the singer from before) was much better than the vocalist now. Either way, it's nice to see a band form Massachusetts make it.

Couldn't agree more. Ben is amazing and TREOS just isn't the same any more. But don't get me wrong, TREOS is still pretty fucking awesome.

It seems that way, but its just one of those things, like "oh shit dude, this guy is good!" and they recommend them to "members of the family" i.e. Triple Crown.

AGREED. but it shows how amazing they really are when they can lose an incredibly talented singer and bounce back up enough to be signed less than a year later. ahh, i love em.
