I will be going to this next Tuesday for Greeley Estates and August Burns Red, I know Sky Eats Airplane is suppose to be decent too so it should be a fun show. I will try to remember as much as I can for each set. (I probably won't pay attention to A Skylit Drive though)

I miss the old A Skylit Drive. I can't get in to the new lead singer's voice.

Sure, A Skylit Drive's new singer has an extremely high pitch voice when he raises it but I can tolerate it. In my opinion though, the full length album is much more solid than the EP was. The songs on the EP seemed to be missing something, they just had a dull vibe going on for them.

i went to the show in philly, and it was amazing. greely estates, a skylit drive, and august burns red were all great. sky eats airplane was ok, they kinda bored me though. and to be honest, ive never even heard of this or the apocolypse, so i didnt really pay attention to them.

The whole tour is: August Burns Red, Sky Eats Airplane, A Skylit Drive, Greeley Estates, This or the Apocalypse so they should all be playing in massachusetts.

Saw this show the other day at the masquerade, it was a lot of fun.

This or the Apocalypse was nothing special, to me they just seemed like a really bad version of August Burns Red, so they were kinda boring and just really generic.

Greeley Estates was next and I just recently got into their music, Im usually not a fan of screamo at all but I like this band a lot for some reason. They were much better then I was expecting, they played a decent set most of it off their recent release. But everything sounded pretty good, almost too good at times, I think a lot of the gain vocals on chorus' were just recordings and not just the actual band, but it wasn't too bad. The pit was pretty fun too, better then I was expecting it to be. Here are the songs that I remembered/were familiar with (not in order):

Blue Morning
Go West Young Man
The End Of All We Know (I'm not postive they played it but I'm pretty sure they did)
If We're Going Out, Let's Go Out In Style
If She Only Knew
In The Ashes
Let The Evil Go East
Desperate Times Call For Desperate Housewives

I'm missing at least one more off of their first album but I don't know what it was. They played everything I wanted to hear (plus alot I didn't care to hear) so I was happy with their set, Desperate Times Call for Desperate Housewives was especially awesome.

A Skylit Drive was next and they were absolutely horrible, I didn't know how bad they were, the dude has the voice of a chick it was terrible. I couldn't get into it at all. Just not my thing, I stood outside the whole time.

Sky Eats Airplane weren't amazing but they were ok, listening to anything after hearing A Skylit Drive make anything sound better then it is. But a lot of their drums were all triggers and it was really obvious and all the synthessizer sounds were just recorded which was kind of dissapointing. I usually like experimental type music but it seemed really lame and they just had way too much singing. So I wasn't impressed with them at all.

Up until this point I was regretting paying for the show, I should have just snuck in. But then August Burns Red came on. I had seen them a few times before but they rocked that place harder then the last time they came. It was pretty intense. I was definitely impressed. I was never a huge fan of their music, I only listened to it every once and a while but they were definitely fun to watch. The pit was a lot of fun too, it opened up a lot towards the end of the set. I'm not familiar with all their songs but I'm pretty sure the set was identical to the one posted earlier so Im not gonna try to post it again, however there was no encore (which was kinda surprising considering the intensity of the crowd). But I was definitely glad I decided to go, August Burns Red definitely guarantees a good time.

On a completely unrelated subject (I don't feel like making another thread), I also saw Heavy Heavy Low Low with Horse the band last night. I didn't care much about going but I decided at the last minute to just go and sneak in. It was alright, I always know what to expect with HHLL, the guy is the worst frontman I've ever seen. But it was still a fun show they played a lot of newer stuff but still the older songs like "Tell Shannon...", "theres a bat", "inhalent abuse", "pizza party", "eating the porridge..." "tragi tragic track jacket" (they played that song terribly though), thats all I remember right now. Horse the band was retarded, I had never seen them before and it was just lame, the guys were stupid, they started out ok but it just got rediculous after a while.

Actually yeah I'm pretty sure that they did play that cause on an old song the dude said something like "this one goes out to the vampire squad", so it was probably the one I missed.

K since this isnt an august burns red headline tour or anything and all u ******s keep rambling on about all the other queer bands on this tour. I saw them in jacksonville and the show was absolutely incredible. Everyone keeps saying Sky eats airplane was bad or just ok..in my opinion they were awesome, very energetic and alot fun, they sounded just like their CD which is always good. Greeley Estates was really good to.

ABR Setlist:

Composure
The truth of a liar
A shot below the belt
Barbarian
The eleventh hour
Up against the ropes (best song)
American Dream
Backburner

In the right order for the most part, but all in all amazing show and a pretty decent setlist in my opinion.

haha.. TOTA is generic at times, but not really anything like august burns red. Actually, probably the least generic band on this tour, but that's not really saying much.

Yeah apparently recorded they sound different but live they sounded alot like August Burns Red, but thats just me. I'll check out there recordings some time. And yeah it was a really generic tour, but still lots of fun, although unoriginal August Burns Red does stand out among all the metalcore bands that are around now.

They definitely played longer then that in Atlanta, not positive on the exact set list though, it was probably around 10-12 songs though.

Went to the show last night in Chicago and ABR rocked faces off! I think they played around 12 or 13 songs but by the time they took stage I had a few beers in me. From what I can remember the setlist looked something like this:

Composure
Truth of a Liar
Up Against The Ropes
Your Little Suburbia
Back Burner
An American Dream
The Eleventh Hour
Redemption
Barbarian
The Seventh Trumpet

And there were a couple other songs I couldnt recognize. However, I must ask if anyone is attending any of the last shows comming up...I would like to see if anyone would be willing to pick me up the orange August Burns Red "Shredder" shirt that they are selling at the shows. Last night they didnt have my size. If anyone would be up for it, please let me know. I believe the shirts were $15 but would be willing to compensate for the good deed. THANKS!
