The most underrated band in the scene, Anathallo (www.purevolume.com/anathallo), recently left Selah Records (www.selah-records.com) and are officially free agents. Somebody needs to pick them up soon because they really have something special going for them.

The Fine Lines. 'Pale Pale Skin' is one of the most amazing songs I've heard lately. Check them out at their PV site.

Their live show does indeed rule. Saw them at Purple Door '03. It was sweet.
Props out to the guy who said Lorene Drive was underrated. I indeed beleive more people need to get into Lorene Drive because they rock hard ass.
As for Anathallo, my old band played with those guys in a little venue in the desert town of Barstow, CA. They played last at about 10:00 pm, and the place had already cleared out. The 20 or so people who saw them play will probably never forget them. They are one of the best live bands you'll ever see. Their show is more of an experience than a show. They do happen to be pretty chummy with Jesus, but they would fit in nicely on the Militia Group or maybe even Tooth and Nail. Anyway, I'm glad to see others recognize the unique talent these guys bring to the table. Best of luck and skill to them.

anathallo is quite literally the best band in the world. some other underrated artists/bands are sufjan stevens, the arcade fire, vostok, saxon shore, and the decemberists, to an extent...oh, and umbrellas, on the militia group.
if anyone at all is interested, check out my band, twelve.o.one. our newer material is influenced by anathallo and american football, none of that is posted, but two songs off of our ep, 'and new life begins...' are available for listening on purevolume.com/twelveoone. message me with your feedback, i'd greatly appreciate it...

They dont want to sign to a christian label, at all. There's 2 labels who are heavily looking into them and aren't christian, so we'll see what happens.

Is there any where I can download more than just the one song? If any body would be gracious enough to send me some stuff over aim i would be greatly appreciative. my screen name is middlenameboom10 and my soulseek name is middlenameboom (soulseek would work just as well). An underated band that i would like throw out there is ELEVENTEEN. I just started listening to them again and I remebered why i always loved this band.

i had absolutely no idea anathallo had a fanbase outside of michigan. i saw them for a little bit a couple weeks ago and pretty much everyone there looked like they just got stunned, like 2 minutes into the first song...it was quite an experience.
