This is just fucking killer. No other way to describe it. Really, everyone needs to either download this or go buy it.

I got addicted to thier music from the first time I heard it.
All their music is awsome and f-n rocked.
They were something new and needed in the music industry.
And we'll be missed very much so.

Haha, aww. This was seriously one of my favourite bands. First we had Femme Fatale, and then DFA. Heads Up is my favourite EP of all time. I don't know if I like the full length as much as I should, though, and I definitely hear more of the remixes than the actual songs now a days at parties and what not. That's kind of unfortunate, because I remember listening to it and thinking "Why am I not listening to the real thing?"
There's also a few remixes out there that didn't end up on the CD. I would hook people up but I no longer have them, after my computer died.
..and as much as I hate the 1979 addition to the name, DFA is a really good label and I buy vinyl from them all of the time. Haha.
AND UM, MSTRKRFT is good, but there's no comparison, really. I honestly just like the name and how they managed to run into another legal issue.

I don't know if you could call Jesse's bass a bass anymore. Haha. It was like a hybrid. The first show I saw them at was ridiculous, as that was before he had the special amp and what not. I've never seen so many wires before.

Heads Up EP is alright. Their writing seemed to go downhill from there. I'm not really sure why people are nutty about this band. They were snobby assholes and their music was nothing more than a novelty act with a few decent songs.

I guess I don't know if they were snobby assholes, but You're A Woman, I'm A Machine is a great album.
Wow, has it really been that long since this thread was last bumped? Anyway, I am enjoying Sebastian Grangier's solo album a lot more than I should be. Its not that great, and nowhere near as good as DFA1979, but it's definately a fun little album. I'll probably listen to it every day for 2 weeks and then totally forget about it.

I actually just listened to the whole DFA79 record two nights ago, I bought it on vinyl a while back.
Check out The Rhythm Method, it's Sebastien Grainger's other musical project besides the Saddle Creek release; it's a lot more danceable.

As is always the case, I got into this band/record much later than I should have. But I do love it all the same.
The Rhythm Method stuff isn't bad but it's not really grabbing me.

The discussion of the ways in which one`s death date can effectively be predicted has recently been rapidly spreading over the net. A few months ago one priest filed suit against a the site http://yourdeathdate.info (http://yourdeathdate.info/) when this site predicted that his death was only a year away. What got him especially worried was the fact that just about seven months before that his colleague had taken the same test and died exactly on the predicted date. Sad but true.

Hi there, Speaking of death prediction, I find it really odd that one of the on-line death prediction services showed me the same death date that I was foretold in my dream about a year ago. http://yourdeathdate.info/1/index.html - I can`t explain this coincidence in any other way except that there must be some kind of magic involved here.

By the way, suppose you know your death date - does that put your life at ease? Has any of you tried? I am going to find out. Here is a link to the site where I am thinking of taking this kind of test - http://yourdeathdate.info (http://yourdeathdate.info/) I am not sure though if it`s worth taking that test there.
