jesus fucking christ, how much can someone shit on a classic?
worst fucking movie i have seen since....no.....worst piece of shit, completely different, and whats greater is that, 28 days later paid homage to the dead series, and a year after its U.S. release the dawn of the dead remake rips off the film that its predecessor essentialy created.
THE CRITICS ARE FUCKING NUTS!

I disagree...this movie was sick. And I wouldnt really call it a remake...it was alot different. This was a re-envisioning. I loved how they had Johnny Cash playing in the beggining. There were a few things I didnt like about it but overall it was a fun moviegoing experience.

utter crap.....first movie in years that i've actually wanted to walk out of......

I thought it was a great movie. It obviously wasn't as smart as the original was, but it was an extremely fun movie. The music played throughout it, the action, and especially the ending made it one of the best horror movies I've seen in years. And yes, I did like it better than 28 Days Later which I thought was extremely overrated.

I thought it was pretty good, it was actually pretty humurous in parts, I wasn't disappointed at all.

I didnt expect it to be groundbreaking or anything...of course not. But it was a cool movie...the end was good. I was kind of caught off guard with the whole sequence after the credits, i missed some of it. Can anyone explain exactly what happened?

They all died......meaning, thankfully, there won't be a sequel...

Or there will be a sequal of how the surviving peopel in the world cure the problem, or maybe they jumped on the boat and sailed off; because didn't they just show the camera drop and not anyone dieing really?

as a zombie movie- 10. as a plot lines go-probably a 2.

i didn't go for an intelligent movie i just went for blood shed so i was happy with it.

it did aggrivate me that they decided to "remake" dawn of the dead which based itself in pointing out the obsession with massconsumerism and didn't even touch on any type of social commentary. the ending pissed me off aswell. it was funny to see an entire audience stand up when the credits started and then sit back down after 30 seconds to see the rest though.

i think they should of just made a zombie movie and called it by a new name.

(28 days later-583485983748957345x better)

I liked the baby part, it was really gross and it reminded me of Dead Alive, without the comic affect obviously.

I knew that there was an original that's like 20 minutes longer than the one that I have on DVD, but I didn't know there was a baby scene. I want to see the extra parts though.

ya theres a 94 minute R version, a 126 minute american version (the version i think you have), a 139 minute director cut (the best in america), a 115 minute Argento version (all the humor is cut out) and a 150 (i think) minute german version that has everything that was shot.....and the baby scene is quite different from the remake, from what i hear (because i can't find the german cut in america to view) theres is a zombie walking around dragging a fetus that is "moving" which catches the attention of the four in the mall....

i'm suprised maddox gave the movie such a good review. I mean i liked it and all but it really wasn't anything ground breaking for horror movies, especially considering it was a remake. But yea, Maddox rules but his recent stuff hasn't been very, how do i say this, funny?

It was entertaining...although not the best movie I've ever seen. My personal favorite part was when those two cars (the only two cars on the entire road other than Ana's car) still managed to rail into each other, then into a gas station, blowing up. Or how one propane tank equaled a massive explosion that didn't affect the tricked out buses.

I shot skeet the first time i ever shot a gun and i was nailing them, it's not that hard to hit something like that espcially at close range.

p.s my aunt(sarah polley) is in this movie and she is sick, the original is cool, but for kids who like a decent action flick it holds up in that department.

This movie was a lot better than i thought and heard it out to be. Tons of gory action and i did find myself laughting a couple of times. Like when they were shooting celebrity looka likes that was awesome, but if it were me i would have just killed as many as i could that dude had tons of ammo...

I love zombie movies like this. especially this one because they added humor to it in tense moments and just the human survival element is pretty awesome. The part with the baby was pretty freaky and when the zombie with no legs popped out of nowhere but thats about all that scared me.

i think it started off good, pretty scary. but after about 30 mins and when they got to the mall, it really blowed. they were in the mall for way too long and it just got boring. i like movies that have zombies and that shit in them, but i haven't seen anything good like that in so long.

One part that scared me was when that damn zombie came out of nowhere and slammed against the mall window when that guy was standing there. And the part when that one guy went into the sports department store and found that zombie manager eating that one guy. And the fact that the zombies could RUN was even more intense... kinda reminded me of 28 Days Later.

It's funny I really like both versions of the film, and it feels really wrong because remakes arn't supposed be anywhere near as good as the originals. I actully saw the remake of DOD at the movies which actully made the whole experience better. Have you ever noticed that some movies can seem really good when you watch them at the cinema (the movies) but not as good when you get them on dvd and watch them at home?

This has been playing on MTV, and I've had it on in the background a couple times now. I was eventually forced to give it my full attention when I realized it was a pretty entertaining horror flick, and I care little for Hollywood horror. The plot is enjoyably simple, and it washed the taste out of my mouth after playing Dead Rising. Bleh, that was a terrible Zombie-filled mall story.
