The December issue of Teen People had this to say about Senses Fail (http://www.sensesfail.com) in their "Cool Band Alert" section:

Why You Will Care: These baby-faced New Jersey guys have been perfecting their brand of swirling guiarts, vein-popping screams and devastating yet breathtaking lyrics by opening for bands like Finch, My Chemical Romance, and the Starting Line. And after listening to Let It Enfold You, their new superintense CD, you might even think they should change their name to Senses Overload. Standout Song: 'Buried a Lie,' A guitar driven-heavy number about a girl's death. Was it suicide or murder? this rocker packs in more crime theories then a CSI episode.

"babyfaced", "swirling","superintense"."senses overload????" i didnt know that people who talked like this could read let alone write an article... teen people should stick to simple plan and good charlotte, stay away from the good bands (or in senses fails case... the maybe not so good bands, but the article still blows)

Some of the aspects of Senses Fail are acceptable. I think we can all agree on that one.
But the lyrics are not breathtaking. I mean, they're really pretty bad. How many songs can have to deal with chainsaws and murder and other masochistic stuff. Seriously Buddy, Use some variety! At least for one lousy song! Just one*

My favorite bands are definitely Bright Eyes and Saves The Day. No other band is even close to these two bands....and these two bands sing about a variety of things. You cannot deny that.
And i do like some of Senses Fail's stuff. Song, uh,7, on the new cd is amazing. The whole "i'm here lying in your bed babe, remember words you said to me...." song.
Bright Eyes is cooler though.

yeah there is definitely nothing breathtaking about Sense's Fail's lyrics at all. Especially in Buried a Lie, the supposed best track on the CD that has more theories then a CSI episode...lol that gave a good laugh.

i really do like senses fail, but thats probably one of the worst descriptions of them ive ever heard. they really write shitty lyrics, and the screams are pretty cheesy, but i like them anyway...weird.

Amen to that. I come to this site every day, don't post much, but I read pretty much everything. I'm sick of seeing people trash this band all the time. I'll admit they aren't the best band out there, but they are good, despite what you people say. Even a lot of reviewers that bash them say they have great guitarwork. You're like, blaming everything on Buddy. Sure, his lyrics might not be the best, but at least he's not TRYING to appeal to little kids. I'd love to see the look on some "teenie-bopper's" face when they check out the artwork for Let it Enfold You. As stupid as it looks, it has some fucked up shit in it. They are not trying to market themselves to a teen audience, but they are being marketed that way. Blame Vagrant and their management. Wait, you wouldn't wanna do that since Vagrant is such an amazing label and you'd lose scene points, right?

People don't give Senses Fail enough credit seriously, alright at this current day and age Buddy's lyrics are Cliche to the full extent, but when their first cd came out, their lyrics were something new to everyone. Only after their first cd came out is when EVERYOTHER band started using similar lyrics, that is why everyone says their lyrics aren't spectacular, cause everyone else has copied or at least is influenced by them.

He may not be for everyone (his voice took some getting used to for me), but he by no means sucks and anyone who says that is an idiot. He's one of the best songwriters out there.
Finch, New Found Glory, Linkin Park, Autopilot Off, Hoobastank, Midtown, Lostprophets, Saves The Day, Story Of The Year, Fall Out Boy, The Used.
There's music beyond shitty radio rock and pop punk, I suggest you check it out.

everyone says "let it enfold you" is complete shit. well it was recorded in the summer of 2003 before all this mainstream "screamo" crap became popular anyway.
