umm...firstly off hand i would have to say MXPX..theyre my fav band..theyre music is about totally possitive things. Theyre music is about school, good times with friends, funny stuff, and life lessons, theyre music isnt about sitting home thinking about a girl, wanting to kill yourself, wanting to do drugs or anything..thats why i love them, they would be my frist choice to listen to when you wanna forget about anything. Umm next in mind i would have to say old Blink and old NFG..for the same reason as mxpx. Pretty much anything like fast is good to listen to when you wanna forget ya know...it jus makes ya feel good and puts you in such a good mood. THE WORST THING TO LISTEN TO would be emo or screamo..that shit jus puts you in a shitty mood and makes you think about thingys and doesnt help at all about forgetting things..if you know wat i mean.

any of the music I listen to makes me forget all my problems. that's half the reason i listen to it. i wouldn't listen to it if it didn't do so.

For me, music that kinda takes me away from everything would have to be firstly hardcore, stuff i can really scream with... but i would have to say that listening to Manic (my brothers' band) always makes me smile. This is not a lame attempt to plug them or anything, when i listen to them i just remember all the times we used to hang out, things we'd get up to...
on that same level, Little Birdie (aussie rock band) remind me of good times living in the band house too... and they're something i can really sing to! :lol2:

Fuck off.
"...So sick, so sick of being tired
And oh so tired of being sick,
We're both such magnificent liars
So crush me, baby, I'm all ears..."
Talking about being cliche, asshat.

Yeah, I agree with Brandon. Haha, music is all about forgetting you're problems... weed also helps too. But if you want to be healthy about it, just listen to music. I'm obsessive with music. I need it, I love it, I want to fuck it.
sometimes music strengthens my emotions about problems. but it also helps out with it. Brand New is a great example for me. also Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World.

Ska always makes me forget my problems! Its such an upbeat genre. put on some less than jake, mad caddies, reel big fish or any ska you can get your hands on and you'll be up and skanking in no time.
If thats not your thing, pop-punk is usually catchy enough to cheer you up, like new found glory, blink 182, etc. Relient K is also a great band to perk you up a bit, they rock my socks.

If I pop in "Tell All Your Friends" that always makes me feel better...even though it makes me think of my problems, it helps me feel better about all fo them.

For girlfriend troubles, listen to the Matchbook Romance CD at a very high volume level. It works wonders. "I set myself up for the greatest fall of all time."
Taking Back Sunday is also great stuff.
