I've always wanted to know who did the voices in trailers. :(

That is terrible. He was a great man. The movies won't be the same without his voice.

My friend makes trailers for a living and he knew Don. Always talked about how great of a guy he was and how many awesome parties he threw.

this sucks, movie previews will never be the same, i mean who else is there??? that rhaspy sounding guy that did all the WB previews, the really gleeful guy that does Disney stuff(or was that Lafontaine as well) and then the more recent guy with the really really low voice that does all those horror movie ads, like the grudge and what not, okay so maybe theres a few more ppl, BUT DON WAS THE KING!!!! no pun intended lol

We'll probably see a lot of trailers without voiceovers.

A new, popular voice over artist seems to be the older woman, best known to people as the voice of Gaia in the God Of War series. She's started branching out into films, recently.

edit: I had no idea that it was Academy Award winner Linda Hunt. Go figure.

And as for Don, RIP. Nostalgia for childhood movie experiences aren't limited to JUST the movie itself. Don's voice still resonates to me through his narrations for big 90's movies like Terminator 2 and and others. I think they're almost as important as the movies, along with the feeling of being young and completely engrossed by a film, something that its hard to do as you get older.
