I just got back from the show in Allentown tonight. 9/6. It was a pretty fun show, and it was Tony the drummers birthday too which the band kept announcing after almost every song. Below is the full setlist and in the correct order.

That is a nice mix of songs, but I would have liked to have seen Throw Down or Back to the Beat on there.

I'm guessing you're talking about the Starland show. That was one of the best shows I've ever been to. Totally worth the $100 bus fare to come home from school for + ticket prices (can't remember how much they were after charges). My friend, sister and I went nuts. Love seeing them play it live.

I've seen Motion City Soundtrack 8 times total and I've seen them play Throwdown 3 or so times I believe. I saw Matt before their show at the Stone Pony in '06 and asked if they were going to play it or could play it. He said someone already gave a request but he was going to try. During the encore he whispered something to Justin, but it looked like he shook his head and they didn't play it. They take requests, so I would say if you run into them before the show, ask them about it. It doesn't hurt. During the Starland show last November, people were apparently screaming for Cambridge in the front and they decided to play it.
I love this band so much. That being said, I'm upset I had to miss this tour because of school and classes. However, their show last November was so great so I wasn't as upset as I could have been, honestly.

I saw them also at Starland and it was definately one of the best shows I've gone to. I was up front and we were chanting for Throwdown not Cambridge when they came out for the encore. But it was still a surprise to get, and we still got Throwdown later.

What's up with MCS and not playing more off Even If It Kills Me? I know most of their fans are stuck in a perpetually state of adolescence which makes them only appreciate the "old stuff" but that's a killer record they put out last year.

Maybe they realize that the newer material doesn't stack up to the first two albums at all. Everyone I talk to tells me it's their least favorite and I agree. And they are playing like half a dozen songs off it which is a third of their set. All the older songs are always the same every tour too.

I got the impression that during the regular set that people were chanting for Cambridge because Justin even asked "Do you want to come up here and play it?" and then said maybe later they'd play it.
My friend, sister and I were chanting from Throwdown on the right side/center of the venue near those non alcoholic bars with the pizza. So happy when they played it.

At Starland, I felt they played a good mix of new and old stuff. I love the new stuff as well and felt like they played a lot. They played 8 new songs at Starland. Fell In Love Without You was a great song to open with. But I do agree Even If It Kills Me was a fantastic album - I've even grown to like it more than Commit This To Memory.

I've seen MCS play 9 times and they've played throwdown 5 of them, so they still play it often. I would rather hear back to the beat, which i've only seen once, or 1000 paper cranes which i've never seen
