i'd grab a marshall JCM900 SL-X 50 watt head for rhythm guitar, and an orange AD30HTC for everything else. if i was real spoiled i would grab a fender 65 deluxe reverb just for the clean channel. avatar cabs are the shit.

im not a huge fan of pedals that modify the sound but as far as effects the boss DD-20 is my choice.

EDIT: i totally changed dual reverb to SL-X. i found out the dual reverb uses 6L6 power tubes, yeah thats a no. british-voiced EL34s for overdrive plz.

The DD-20 is awesome, one of the dudes in my band has one. Also, the Deluxe Reverb has some of the heaviest distorted tone I've ever heard.

yeah but im not a fan of american distortion, ive heard plenty of tube fenders and i dont like the way they're voiced. i mean the deluxe reverb could be different though i'll have to get the kid down the hall to show me the distorted tone. i just know that most fender tube amps -- deluxe reverb, blackface, etc. -- have easily the purest, most glistening, and most expressive clean tone by a longshot and its been proven to me in person.

but yeah i love playing with delay, i like to set it so that the delay becomes a part of a riff and turns an 8th note pattern into reflections of even 16th notes, that to me is like the coolest thing when bands do that.

65 bassman is great too but in my opinion Dr Z has the cleanest sound, distortion wise i dont know why but i realllly like peavey 5105 distortion or maybe i should say easy to play. Hot Cat 30, bogner shiva or umbershell has pretty sick distortion too.

Yeah, those look great, and the 6SL7 preamp gives it some great vintage tone. And the high-gain setup with 6SL7 tubes is really unique. If you want to try out octal preamp tubes in any 12AX7 amp, you can pick up the Adaptomatic from Electrosonic (http://www.electrosonicamplifiers.com/products.php). At only $40 including a tube, it's a really good deal. Actually, I might be trying this out in my Valve Junior at some point...

I already have my dream rig. 1965 Fender Bandmaster and a MIA fender telecaster. Throw a couple delay pedals up front and a tubescreamer and a big muff and you have my rig.
