the world seems larger today than that of yesterday,
but i still feel as if a marionette only on a grander stage,
my manipulator is stuck on the same play,
but I'm no Mary doll.

so i'll sever these binds and ties,
and i'll make my way to the corner of wealthy and grand,
there's a little house. free-standing.
and the locals smile and nod and treat you as family.

i'll go about my days void of disarray,
i'll buy bread at the corner bakery,
and drink at the local bar.
we will laugh and sway,
and sing gay songs
and forget about when these puppet arms
were tugged and pulled,
when life was depression and angst ruled,

and there i will live with my wallet empty,
and my soul full. so full.
and i'll think about the wisdom of a little man,
who built such a tiny house on the corner of wealthy and grand.

Wow, I really dig this one, even if a few words were slightly repitious, it doesn't exactly devalue it, it just adds a hint of negative, but all in all, I could really see the picture, and my eyes ate it up like they had tastes buds :P
