I read that earlier. I hadn't even heard of that movie until a week or so before it's released. It looked terrible.

Yeah that whole production was troubled from the start. It almost got shut down a couple of times. It is a shame. The director has made two decent movies in France before this and Gothika.

he's not being a douche, he's pissed that the vision for his film was ruined by trite Hollywood bullshit.

He actually sounds like a really smart guy who should be given the reigns to do something fresh and exciting.

he has good reasons to be upset, they bastardized his project.

Good for him, I'd be pretty pissed if my interpretation of a story was not respected and the producers created their own film.

didn't he ask to take his name off the credits? haha that's rough

Haha I remember the guy who directed The Jacket basically did the same thing. He was content with how his film turned out but apparently had a terrible experience with the producers, so he just started giving away the ending of the movie and explaining everything in interviews.

If you want to check out a decent movie he made back in the day, "The Crimson Rivers" is worth checking out. It was a huge hit in France and Jean Reno is in it. Good stuff. A little bit out there, but really entertaining.

At least he's on the majority side, haha.

Wow that is scathing. Leave it to Fox to fuck up a good movie
