I was just wondering what everyone thinks of this movie, I just saw it for the first time last night and thought it was great.
What about everyone else??

Leonardo DiCaprio is a damn good actor. I've wanted to see this for a while, but I have yet to.

Leonardo was amazing!!! There was a part in the movie that hit a little too close to home and brought back a lot of bad, bad memories, however,,, his portrayal of it was so real, and so perfect. I thought once, that he had to have lived this lifestyle, at least an aspect of it, because he knew the addict, the sickness and the deprivation too well.
Great movie.

I was told to watch it by a friend several times, not expecting that much. So I rented it, watched it and was amazed. I then went and bought it and have watched it several times now.
I've never seen Requiem For A Dream though, so I cant compare it to that.

i originally thought leonardo dicaprio (or dicrappio which is what we used to call him) was a blown up piece of crap after his involvement with 'Titanic' (i movie which i was unfortunately laughing my ass off all the way through), becuase that movie was faaaaaaaaaaar too over-hyped. however, after seeing him in roles in movies like 'what's eating gilbert grape', 'catch me if you can' and that movie he did when he was younger with De Niro which i can't remember the name of, i have a newfound respect for the guy, and am quite interested in what he's going to do with 'The Aviator' (i thought Tommy Lee Jones did a great performance in the original Howard Hughes biopic).
