i actually saw it. it's nothing 'ground breaking' or really original. i agree that it matches the song very well though. i'd give it a "B" grade because green day is great.

Personally, I thought it was their best video. Probably because I'm more of a fan of their new stuff, but that's just me. The old-effect on the video was a good touch, too. It also did fit the video pretty well, not like most bands who just put bullshit with the video that doesn't even fit.

This video is the sequel to their next video for "holiday" they shot them both at the same time. You'll find out how they ended up in the desert and everything so I can't wait for that to come out in Jan. On a side note how does everyone feel about the possible "American Idiot movie" A movie based on the album focusing on the character Jesus (of suburbia) and the things that happen to him in the album? I for one hope they make a movie out of it.

i just heard about that today. it could really go either way. it's a neat concept, hopefully they can pull it off

I loved the whole old-film-ish thing they had going. I have to agree. I like the concept, and the song, really, I don't see as some major breakthrough, but none the less, it's a good slow song. It's a nice midground between alot of the "I hate you, I'm going to kill you" kind of angry punk songs and the "Oh, my life is so bad, I want to commit suicide" pain in the ass, emo songs. *shrugs* But, other than that, the video works for me.
