"There has been much talk between Imagi and Warners to do a better "re-invention" (newest Hollywood buzzword) of the TMNT's, in a live action film--like what was done with Batman. Back to basics, back to the origin and the intro of the Shredder, etc...there have been talks, trips to Northampton to talk to [TMNT co-creator] Mr Laird, and discussions with the original "first" TMNT film director Steve Barron to come back and do it right--but no official word yet...will keep you posted."
I could go for this.
Here is the link (http://www.joblo.com/living-ninja-turtles) to it.

Depending on how they handle the turtles, I might get behind this.. I don't want to see some cheesy CGI bullshit...

But can you really top the greatest movie of all-time? The movie that changed the way people thought about film as a whole?

You know, I don't think I ever saw the original trailer.
Lol@the bad voice overs and the deleted scenes.

They will never be able to top The Secret of the Ooze. I may be a huge film geek but I can watch that movie any day.

Part II is easily my favorite. I try to forget III even exists..

True story. Having seen a lot of the old Japanese samurai flicks, I kind of want to go back and revisit III, but I can't seem to find my old VHS of it. My parents probably sold it at a yard sale or something after I moved out.

We have the triple feature DVD pack here at the apartment. I think I might try and watch them this week. Hopefully my head doesn't explode from the genius of it all.
I hope this actually gets made. This was easily my favorite cartoon growing up and it deserves to be brought to the big screen the right way, again [I agree with everyone in saying that Secret of the Ooze is awesome].

If they kept it true to the comic it could be good.

Who could play Casey?
I could personally see Chris Evans. He did the voice in the CGI version too.

Casey was a little bitch in the CGI version that pissed me off

I actually read this the other day..
It would be interesting. Different, but cool if they went darker like with Batman. It could actually be pretty good. Less campy.

I would be into checking it out I remember having a huge Raphael poster from the film when I was little in my room.

Should have included a poll with this one.
Raphael is my favorite.

this kind of disappoints me. I didn't really care for the animated movie(villains not very well developed, Raphael bitching more than usual), but it hinted at a sequel with Shredder.
And if there's one franchise that doesn't need an origin, it's TMNT. They're mutant turtles.

this gets me excited! i was bummed about the CGI movie and was afraid they were going to keep making CGI ones. i really hope they do this

honestly, the cgi one wasn't that bad - they could get away with stuff they just couldn't do in a live action flick. if done right, though, i'd love to revisit a live-action turtles movie
