Side project of Dan Bejar's (The New Pornographers and Destroyer). They released their debut early this year, titled The Portrait Is Finished and I Have Failed To Capture Your Beauty.... Any fans?

Checked this out a while back. I feel Sydney would have been better off on her own frankly.

I love the way they sound together, and I love her voice but I feel like it needs a male voice in the songs with it.

I was expecting something to do with Rookie Of The Year

Having another singer accentuate her voice is nice in theory, but it's Bejar. Probably the last person I would want to share vocal duties with.

Nope, sorry haha. But you should check these guys out, I remember you asking for some recs a while ago.. if I'm thinking of the right person?

Not particularly, although that's not why I wouldn't want to sing dual vocals with Bejar. His timbre is so distinctive that it would be difficult to not be relegated to the background when accompanying him.

Well it is his project, and I personally think it makes for an interesting mix. Plus it's not always overlapping, but alternating, and it just seems to work.
