love him as a solo artist, although only heard transfiguration of vincent, transistor radio & post-war so far. but as much as i love collaborations, his so far have not been my thing at all. if some better artists were chosen... something awesome could flower

Definitely better solo than when collaborating.
I'm hoping this thing he's doing with Oberst and the guy from Jacket is going to be good. I know I shouldn't be but I am so excited for that!

i'm so-so with oberst, not a hater by any means, but i'd rather m. ward release a solo album, or collaborate elsewhere haha. also because it's almost predictable how it'll turn out to some extent. m. ward & norah jones... now there could be an album. oh & don't worry, i know i'm alone on that one haha

wow. no, no, no... that is fucking genius.
That would be really cool lol

you don't like she and him? :bluesad:
I've been a fan of them before they even had a name

oh cool, didn't think there was much love round here outside of myself, chris & the wobster. i could just see soo much potential in that collaboration

too much she, not enough him haha. i didn't not like it, just didn't take to me in any great way like i hoped it would

She And Him is so boring.

I'm excited for the new release. Post-War is a good album.

New album is alright. Pleasant listen and not much more for me.

I'm assuming it's much in the same vein as Post-War. So it can't be bad, maybe not excellent though.

More straightforward than Post-War I'd say. Far, far better than She & Him regardless.

I disagree! Although I do find it a little lopsided how much airplay Zoey gets, I immediately connected to the album.

It's good, but it's not amazing. I love Post War though.

i haven't come across the new album yet, but hope to very soon. a lot of people are making comparisons to post-war, an album which i enjoyed. but are these comparisons coming about merely because that was the previous album or because the new one sounds similar?

That's fine. I found it one of the dullest albums I heard last year.

Not particularly similar. It's closer to Transistor Radio in that it's very accessible. The Oh Lonesome Me cover is quite bad though.
His covers are great. Especially the ones on Transistor Radio.
