i've never had a problem with my ipod. except for when my headphone jack went shitty, but then i got a free 80 gig so that was pretty awesome.

i like itunes a lot more than windows media player

My Zen broke, but when it was in good condition I loved it. I have an iPod now, and I really hate how you have to make a playlist on iTunes first and then upload it, instead of just making it right on the iPod.

There is more features for sure. Why would you want to choose the songs you put on the iPod. I would much rather have all my music collection, that I can listen to at anytime, than a selection of songs. The shuffle is a joke if you're a music junkie. I wouldn't want to have only 100 songs (however many fit on it) on an mp3 player, on top of that you can't even choose or know what is coming next.

Apparently a lot of people are uneducated on ipods too. You can make quick playlists in easy ways RIGHT ON THE IPOD. Find the song you want and hold the center button for 2 seconds, the song will blink and it's on your playlist. You can add and add and save or clear and make as many as you want. Whether or not you like IPODs, the point is invalid. The IPOD touch is far superior to the ZUNE.

As much as some people blindly fall into APPLE and IPODS and defend them without knowing why, there is an equal group of people who hate on it just because that bothers them or they have a vendetta with the company and feel some sense of loyalty to Microsoft. Consciously or subconsciously, I don't give a fuck, it happens. It's like when there's a band that people love and they're great and they start getting huge super quick, there's always that crowd that feels a need to shoot them down even if they don't really hate them that much just because they don't like that so many people are into the same thing. It's strange human nature but it definitely happens in many aspects of life.

That being said, people have different preferences and that's fine. I prefer the IPOD because I think that ITUNES is the most efficient and comprehensive music software out there with great band exclusives for purchase. I have never had any technical issues with any of my IPODS I have owned and I have 1 friend who has a ZUNE and while it was bad I didn't like the layout of the device's software or the computer software it supports. I think the ZUNE would be doing better that it is if they didn't wait so long to release it but I still think the IPODS would reign supreme.

APPLE is not magic like people make it out it to be. But I have had many PC's and a couple Macs now and one thing is very obvious to me after experiencing both. APPLE is very user friendly. Their software is made for people to quickly and easily understand. So computer idiots can understand and computer geeks still have their options to run with. Same goes for IPODS and ITUNES. They are made so idiots can pick them up and use them and also so geeks can fuck around do what they want with them. So my conclusion is, if you like PC's and hate MACs, that's cool. If you like IPODs and hate ZUNE's that's fine too. In spite of many different details, it still is personal preference.

I prefer Ipod, ive had my share of mp3 players (though not the zune) and havent seen anything as good as the Ipod.
Plus Apple always wins over Microsoft in my opinion.

I have a zune and definetly don't hate it, but I would have prefered an ipod if just because there is more accessories that are made for it.
I hate the zune software though, it might just be my computer, but the zune program just sucks.
The only advantage that zune has is the zune marketplace, it is the only reason I am still using my zune.

iPods hold a lot of music, but they aren't very reliable (the classic ones anyway - nanos are probably better since they use flash memory). And yet, that fact isn't stopping me from saving up for a new one, haha (I think my laptop is going to crash if I store one more sound file on the hard drive).

ive had both but i like iPod since it works with any computer and it's easier to find more stuff for. but zune was pretty cool and i like the adaptability and WiFi.
